千三百八十六: きょとん

きょとん
kyoton
It means, to look confused or stupefied or to look vacant.

haha. a very interesting new word.

Yesterday C came back from his work trip!! I had only expected him back on Monday, so it was an unexpected surprise, but then it also meant I had to return him the Wii. :( It was abit strange meeting him after 4-5 years, didn't really know what to say to him. But after last night, I think I really appreciate him making an effort about everything so far. :) ok, but its still too early to say if it continues.

today is supposed to be a Public Holiday for me. argh. but no holidays. we had to take Leave in Lieu and come back to work cos of the stupid user acceptance tests. Actually I had nothing to do, cos I had already finished my stuff. so been zobo-ing the whole day. sighz. bored ...

千三百八十五: Wii & a new TV

We finally got a new TV for our house!! 32" Toshiba LCD TV and it was only $999. Courts was clearing their display sets so we got it at a very good bargain. we didn't really mind, as long as the TV can last for at least 3 years its a good buy liao.

then I collected the Wii for C yesterday, luckily received my pay yesterday so i could pay first. had no time until this evening to test it for him, and i played Wii sports with my sis and it was so fun!! we tested the bowling and the tennis and the baseball games and u really had to swing the wiimotes to play the game like the sport! the inventor is seriously a genius. :) I just saw that the official Nintendo service centre for USA is in Redmond, so when I go redmond in June, i'm going to get myself one too. wheee!!

today I went for dental appt, the dentist fixed a few more brackets onto the remaining teeth. now the back teeth are totally unusable, i dunno how i'm going to eat liao. chew with my front teeth like a cow maybe?? sighz. but at least nowadays I totally dun feel anything after the tightening sessions liao, maybe a little difficulty in chewing cos of the adjustments but not much pain. i am more afraid of the wire coming off like in my nightmare than causing pain to my teeth.

& i bumped into CK at dinner today. surprisingly he came all the way to Bukit Timah area to have dinner with his frens i think, its the first time i saw him in 11 years. 11 years liao, so fast, didn't think time passes so fast. but i didn't talk to him, was walking along the road just blankly watching the cars go by, then noticed one of the drivers smiling at me and i was like huh? until i stared abit closer then I realised that it was him! so weird. he looked exactly the same as 11 years ago though. haha..

ok i've just finished setting up the channels on the new tv, tested PS2 on it (working great!!) and watched abit of the late nite anime on channel U too. Very clear! hee. ok i better go sleep soon.

千三百八十四: 逆転裁判4

Shinji bought the DS too! he got hold of 逆転裁判 4 the newest episode of the phoenix wright series and I got to play it cos he didn't know how to clear the game. hehe. so i'm playing it after work and it was pretty good.

ok now i'm chatting with a friend in France over email. haha. it's fun!!

千三百八十三: We should learn to queue up

I missed my bus this morning because it came earlier by about 5 min!!

$%^&

And then luckily 176 came, so after some very quick calculations, decided to board it to go Bukit Batok MRT and take MRT to queenstown MRT station instead. It would probably be a lot faster than waiting for the next 963. I reached Queenstown MRT at 8.10am, so u would probably think I would be on time for work anyway right?

WRONG!

It was a bad decision to wait for the company shuttle bus which travelled like a turtle after it picked us up at about 8.15am, taking 20-30 min to reach Alexandra Technopark. -.- and in the end I was late for work by about 10 min. ARGH!and when I was waiting for the bus, there was no queue. There was just a swarm of people, a messy swarm , so the way to get onto the bus would be to shove your way to the front. It was pretty chaotic but luckily since I didn't know anyone there, I didn't really care who I shoved. But remind me not to take that bus again. Next time will just take bus number 51 when it comes along.

OK I better remember to go for my dental appointment on Saturday morning.

千三百八十二: Forecast - Jason Mraz

Well I heard that it might be raining bed sheets and lover's words
Let's throw out the hotel comforter and hang the 'do not disturb'
Sign me up for the storm
I'll wear my suit for the shower
Cause I'll have you to keep me warm in the coldest hour

And when the darkness falls under your hair, there I'll be
And crazy is the forecast all week

Well every kiss, every hug is so light on the touch, delicate like a snowflake
Well I can taste, I can taste, I can taste, I can taste you all over my face
And everyone might find me foolish to not be counting on the sun
But your mouth is my umbrella now
And I'm holding your tongue

And if the rain should fall for sure
With you I'll be
And crazy is the forecast all week

There's a good chance in hell
Like cats and dogs we'll be flying
And I'm no weatherman
But you are lightning, striking

Here comes the sun
And the rain
All at once
How it sing

In the midst of the morning pull up a blanket of a cloud
And await for the warning of another come down
Because the water is healthy for the roses in your cheeks
My well holds plenty for penny wishin' in your deep end
And when the lights go out, no doubt, with you I'll be

And crazy is the forecast all week

And if them rains should fall for sure with you I'll be
Because crazy is the forecast all week long
Crazy is the forecast

千三百八十一: Monsters in my sleep

last night was a really horrible night. I dunno why i kept dreaming (having nightmares) of the monsters in my Negima game. -.- its quite silly and then i woke up feeling like i haven't slept at all. Maybe I shouldn't have taken the nap in the afternoon.

today was a pretty good day at work. I didn't feel too free at work, did very little of surfing net and really did work for the whole day yet managed to finish every thing at about 5pm in time to go home. :)

next week is pay day!! Finally. I don't know if I've met my target in my savings this month, I seem to have overspent. hmm. its supposed to be golden week next week too but we have to give up our holidays for work. sighz. However, I can take up the holidays in lieu, maybe I'll use it for travelling or something.

hmm its showing the PG theme Do not disturb on Arts Central now.

千三百八十: 武士の一分

i finally watched the show!

DSC00311

as a samurai movie, it was not very good. but as a love story, it was pretty sweet. unfortunately, it also showed that kimura would not look good when he is balding. If he is balding. his hair is a major part of his good looks. :p the movie used samurai Japanese, and alot of it sounded really weird, but still understandable.

and i'm the first friend to sit in A's new car! hoho. feel so happy. just nice he got his car today, and he himself had suggested watching the movie tonight, so i got to ride in the car first.

after the movie, we went to TCC at Holland Village. its the first time I have ever stepped into a TCC in my whole life, the milkshake was pretty good. then we just lounged there and chatted about credit cards and getting a new tv and his life in general. but as we were both tired, we called it a day at about 1am and he sent me home.

its sunday liao. stupid weekends are just passing too quickly.

千三百七十九: Quiet Friday

It's been a loooong time since I had a chance to go the library or had some time to go to the book store. I went to Vivocity to get some conditioner, took the NEL to Dhoby Ghaut and guess what, Guan and his gf came into the same carriage on the train from Outram. What are the chances!? I was sitting down, just stoning and I saw a familiar face sit down opposite me. I had nv seen the gf in real life b4, just frenster photos, and I was like .. hmmm. and I looked up to see Guan there and I saw him b4 he saw me hehe, so I waved and tried not to intrude by leaning my head back and just staring at the ceiling. hehe. I saw a diamond ring on the gf's left hand though, I think Guan has probably popped the question. another wedding soon maybe?? :) they got off at the next station, and I got off at somerset and walked all the way to the library at Takashimaya. hung around the library for a while, got my books, then went to kinokuniya and walked around enjoying the feeling of all the books and magazines around me. it's one of the few places I dun feel lonely even if I am there alone.

Do you think that all things happen for a reason? people's words to you are told to you for a reason, to prepare you for something that will happen soon to you so that you will have the knowledge and be ready when the event does happen. It sounds like something out of a novel, those fantasy novels, but it's true. On Tuesday, I had a rare chance to have lunch alone with Shinji, it just so happened that the rest of the people had lunch appointments. We dapao-ed lunch to the new pantry, and I was showing him the news about the shootings at Virginia Tech and he told me about Yamaguchi Gumi, the yakuza organisation in Fukuoka, and how they illegally smuggled arms into the country. and that evening, i was watching the news and there had been a fatal shooting in Nagasaki of the mayor, apparently the job of a yakuza from the Yamaguchi Gumi. a term you haven't heard before in your life you suddenly hear 2 times the same day. What a coincidence huh.

This morning. Due to my sister's insistence she wanted to go school later, my parents stayed around the house until I was about to leave and drove me to the main road. I was ready to take the bus (the late bus) but since it was just about the right time, they drove me until we were actually ahead of the bus that I had missed by 20 mins and I managed to reach work at 8am instead of 8.30am today. and when i reached work, i received a msg from Akane asking me to attend this morning's meeting in her place cos she couldn't find her keys and couldn't leave the house. I was thinking "wah, u're super lucky i came early today then, " cos for the past week i had reached work only at 8.36am. hmm. what a coincidence again. a bit freaky to have these 2 things happen in the same week.

I realise for the past few months, I have always been waiting for the end of the month to come. It's weird. in the beginning of the month, I would probably come into contact with some old friend and we would meet up or chat online, only to find out that the very next week after we come into contact that he was to go overseas for work for a few weeks and I would (very stupidly) make some appointment to meet up after he comes back. so usually, it would be month end when the friend comes back and the few weeks in between feels soooo long, that I have to be waiting for someone literally every month. argh.

I need communication, to have something solid I can read, and re-read when I am lonely, when i am bored, to keep myself sane. It might be ez to say I have matured and can handle loneliness better now than before, but loneliness can get pretty overwhelming sometimes.

千三百七十八: Lunch Affair

I was watching this episode of Do Not Disturb on Arts Central 10pm on Monday night and the episode was entitled Lunch affair. It was starring Andrea de Cruz & Adrian Pang.

As the title mentions, it was about them having an affair. Adrian Pang is a lawyer and Andrea is his legal assistant. both have been married for over 10 years and they were meeting up regularly in the nearby Frangipani Palace Hotel during lunch hour for hot sex.

Despite the immorality of the whole story, somehow, the whole episode seems to be very real. From Week 1, where the guy still felt guilty when he went home at night and saw the wife, the mentality 3 months later was "so what if she finds out?". From just pure sex and no feelings, they became like a couple a few months later, from the girl wanting more than just the lunch sex and wanted his weekends as well, and they were having lovers' quarrels, jealousy of their spouses etc. The cause of it all ? they talked too much pillow talk. They got to know each other too well, such that their life was part of his or her life as well. they became friends, not just lust and that was the reason for the downfall. Just because they have heard the other party's problems, they assume that it means that they are committing more emotions into this by sharing with each other their problems. It will almost always fail. Not knowing each other out of bed is the best way to avoid emotional commitment. Not knowing anything redundant, like the person's birthday, not doing stuff like going on dates, concentrating on the sex part is the only surefire way to stay afloat in such situations.

the ending i didn't quite like. 1 year later they were still sleeping with each other. Doesn't it just makes you worry if your own other half is doing such a thing at work??

千三百七十七: Hawker Food

hoho. everyday different kinds of delicious food.

Today my parents dapao-ed dinner from Bukit Timah mkt. herbal chicken and Sambal Stingray.. it was great!! so long nv touch sambal stingray le, and my parents seldom dapao dinner somemore, it was rare that on a weekday night the whole family would sit together at the dinner table at the same time and have dinner together. happy!

did you know that Vaio has a laptop series that weighs only 896g?! Type G notebooks, check out the review!

千三百七十六: Japanese Food

haha. Tonight it was Japanese food.

during Lunchtime today, found out that there was farewell dinner for 2 singaporean colleagues tonite and they asked me to go along. apparently there were many Japanese restaurants so we went there for dinner. They chose a restaurant named Kyomomoyama.

Kyomomoyama Restaurant

the food was quite expensive, quite authentic, but the quantity was quite little. sighz. I ordered マグロ rice, tuna rice. the set meal had chawan mushi, miso soup so it was quite filling. weiling from the other team was there and she was so funny. she reminds me of elmo :) but The Central mall is abit messy at the moment, so many stores not opened. and the layout is really weird.

waiting for my hair to dry now... wore the new specs to work today. i think i prefer glass specs definitely. they feel more like specs. :)

千三百七十五:Korean food for dinner

We had a team dinner at the Korean food restaurant, can't remember the very difficult korean name, but it was the place opposite Haw Par Villa. the food was pretty good, they had BBQ meat there, and it was opened by a real korean. the waiter was very funny though, he couldn't really understand the heavy Japanese-accented English of my colleagues and he brought over his manager who started rattling off in Korean to us. -.- we were stunned for a while, then giggling, we said we didn't speak Korean and the manager was kinda embarrassed. wahahaha!

i would have enjoyed the dinner alot more normally if I wasn't having quite bad cramps today and my tummy just was hurting and felt uncomfortably full towards the end of the dinner. but we had a very early dinner today and dinner ended at about 8pm. i had to take the bus back alone from a very dark bus stop and it was abit scary. cos there were construction workers behind me and opposite the road, i was feeling not so safe. the bus took so long to come that I was getting ready to run should anyone actually walk too near me and the bus journey on 176 took a whole hour. zzz

I wish SMRT would buck up their services. Increase more buses on these long routes like 963. they wanna plan all these super long routes, but they dun have enough buses to service them. everyone wants to get on the bus, but even b4 bukit batok, the bus is full. wats the point of serving so many housing estates when u dun have the capacity? the bus is overcrowded every single morning even by the time it reaches my bus stop. and on the way home, at 9pm, the buses are so infrequent but they are still fully packed to the door, especially at NUH at such time. it's really ridiculous.

千三百七十四: New Spectacles

ok, here's my new spectacles from Optical 88 at Jurong East:

New Specs

work up at noon, did some work, helped my mom write cheques, then went to get the specs. trying to use more credit payment instead of debit to earn abit more interest, its of cos only $1 - $2 more per month but better than nothing lor. have been spending abit too much this month, my goal of 1.2k savings per month is kinda hard. I wanna hit 10k soon!!!

I was thinking that I want my own car, then I thought further, and realised that I don't need it. if I have a bf with a car can le. hoho.

千三百七十三: The Observatory @ Zouk

Today was a disgustingly hot and humid day. I had barely stepped out of the house for 5 minutes and I was drenched with perspiration by the time i reached the bus stop. drenched as in there were beads of perspiration rolling down the sides of my face, on my upper lip etc. yuck. just not moving and waiting for the MRT also did the same to me.

i think the hot sun and the sudden dehydration from perspiring so much sucked all the energy out of me. throughout Japanese class, I was lethargic, headachy and I couldn't stop fanning myself with the exercise book even though the aircon was on but I couldn't feel it at all. apparently, everyone in class was affected. all were feeling extra sleepy, some were having sore throats, and the whole class was kinda distracted and unfocused.

in the evening, went to serangoon gardens for Steak. Aston specialties, a steak stall in a coffeeshop opposite chomp chomp. it was quite ok, not that cheap as i had thought it was. we watched f1 and rugby after dinner at a small pub until about 9pm nearby and rugby was actually quite exciting! (the guys were very very fit and some quite good looking and all very agile) unfortunately, after 9pm, they started to show golf and it got boring. so we headed to zouk for the Observatory launch of their 2nd CD. their music is not meant for a place like zouk i think, more of meant for places like Wala Wala, where people can sit down and enjoy their music cos it was not stand up music at all. the music doesnt make u feel like dancing, hence standing and listening for a whole hour was not easy.

We ended the nite with supper at Fong Seng. :)

千三百七十二: エンジン

I finally got to watching Engine (starring Kimura Takuya of course) on one of the video engines. it seemed boring to me when I was in Japan (cos i didnt watch from the start i guess) but it turned out to be pretty funny. I decided to catch the episode on Channel U last nite, BUT!!! my living room tv had no red tone, so I decided to go to my parent's room to watch. You would have thought that at this age with the technology all normal televisions would have dual sound, but no, the bedroom TV doesn't have!!!! no choice, i came back out to the living room, cos the characters sound really weird & cutesy in mandarin after having watched them speak in japanese the whole evening on the PC. so.. on the tv, pressed the dual sound key on the remote control, and.. nothing happened. pressed again, nothing happened, my mom came out and said that remote control was spoilt. i was like !?!!? and i went to the tv to try the onset buttons, there was no way to set the dual sound on the tv itself!! argh!! sighz. resigned myself to watching the show in the bedroom while trying to read their lips. :s

Another 10 working days to pay day i think. finally.

千三百七十一: 木村拓哉 in concert

He looks and sound really great..

千三百七十: The Time Traveller's Wife

Currently reading this book, The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffeneger.

I'm at the part where Clare (the main character aka the wife) is in high school, after she got her driving licence. Henry, the husband had just helped her settle a date that went wrong.

The book is interesting, the parts where Henry goes into the past and talks to young Clare is heartwarming. Kinda romantic in a way, knowing that this guy who comes from the future is your husband and that you do survive to be married to him despite your recklessness. I don't really know if Henry travels through time due to a terminal illness or just a normal illness, but I think I just want to find out as I read along.

Some other happenings, I finally got my employees gate pass! yay! after 3 months! and i just passed 10 months of my bond period, another 1 year 2 months to go. wheee!!

today i went to work despite my throbbing head, but I think work helped a little. Felt a little better in the afternoon, but can't keep my eyes open now le..Tomorrow is work at home day but it doesnt apply to us. how shitty is that? its almost like declaring a free holiday for everyone except us. worked till 10.30pm tonight, managed to complete all that I wanted to do. nitez.

千三百六十九: Under the Weather

good night.

千三百六十八: 涙そうそう

Nada Sou Sou. The story is actually about a pair of step siblings and the brother's love for his sister. sometimes, it seems like they are in love with each other. But, ultimately, the whole show was very sad. a girl behind me was crying and wiping her tears. think its my contacts, i totally was dry-eyed throughout even though i was a little sniffly towards the end.

I witnessed an accident site on the way home on the AYE. the car's bumper was smashed in and had actually been hit so hard it had turned around to face on coming traffic. there was alot of glass on the road behind (in front of?) that car, probably another vehicle had already been towed away. I think there were no casualties? hmm. but its hard to tell. the driver couldn't have been drunk at this hour bah? only 11pm..

Yesterday i saw the baby. She was so tiny! but she slept the whole time, so I didn't get to really talk to her. and that I am pretty scared of holding her actually, she looked fragile. i guess i have zero maternal instincts yet.

I think its time to sleep. nitez.

千三百六十七: Robinson's sale

had a very relaxing morning today, managed to wake up at 11am today and slowly eat my lunch b4 going for Japanese lessons. but i was still late, by about 5 min, so it means i got to set off about 1.5 hours b4 the lessons start. argh...

after lessons, went to meet my cousin at raffles city, thought he was ending his game at 6pm so at most i need to wait for an hour, in the end i called him at 7pm to check how come he hasnt arrived and he had only just ended his game!!! in the end walked around, saw that Nike stuff was like 15 + 15% off at Robinsons, where they were having some easter sale as well. bought myself a top and then after that went to precious Thots where they were having some sale on baby stuff as well. i'm visiting xh's baby tomorrow, so i bought a little something for the baby as well.

finally about 8 plus my cousin turned up, we went to eat dinner at Soup Spoon, and he had to tell me that was where the stabbing occurred and he was at raffles city the same day but at Starbucks. -.- the soup was quite a large bowl and we very economically shared a set meal. i had eaten kinder buenos while waiting for him and wasn't feeling very hungry liao. i should stock up on that and campbell soup (those packet kind and u can cook them in a cup) at the office. I saw a very cool denim bag at FCUK, but didn't have a price tag and since I was making so many purchases this month liao, had to curb my spending abit so i decided to just walk away. heartache, cos i really liked the bag. and I saw a pair of sneakers at Onitsuka Tiger shop at the basement too. $149. I wonder if they will have any sale soon. I had to walk away from that as well. next month maybe? but I still have to reinburse my parents for the Japan air ticket yet, so i should have actually about $1k less in my bank right now.

after that was supposed to visit my grandma at his place, but it was abit late, and he was deciding whether to go Wine Bar or not. luckily CJ messaged me, i could just make the decision to head back home to get my DS and pass to CJ for him to try. he lives super near to me, can actually walk to my place, so we met up at the rail mall and had a drink at one of the pubs there. he's very funny and i enjoy talking to him.

so thats all for this saturday. am going to try to watch good night and good luck tomorrow.

千三百六十六: Good Friday

it was lucky i finished my work late on Thursday so that i didnt hv to work late on Friday as well. the gross guy asked me if i was ordering dinner on friday but i was finishing up so that i could have dinner with my family and i said no.. i'm going off soon and he sounded shocked. well, who told him to complain he was hima (free) the whole day and then realise got alot of things to do at the end of the day? kekeke. i had finished all those things i had planned and pretty happy with my progress. did alot more tests than everyone and yet got the speed. hoho.

so i left at bout 6.30pm, went to collect my newly approved citibank card at vivocity and signed up for their biometric service. but all the time i'm thinking i dun really wan to touch that fingerprint thing to pay, cos i dunno wat the person b4 me who uses it has touched or whether he/she has washed his/her hands. ack. i would rather sign la. but just signed up in case i really needed to use it. got a free brew at coffee bean voucher for the signup.

Went Jurong East for dinner with my family, 久しぶりで the whole family came. had curry fish head (yay!) which was pretty good, and after that I went to Optical 88 just opposite the coffee shop and they were having some Good Friday sale. 60% off some frames, tried on an awful lot of frames before I found finally a pair that suited me. my sisters were there to give their comments, haha, and they were shaking their head an awful lot. I guess I just am not really suitable for most colours of frames and most shapes. argh. it was really a pain. but finally found a pair that actually quite suited me, although it was purple. haha. i made glass lenses, which was sooo much cheaper and thinner than plastic. & i found out after the eye check that my eyes were about 625 degrees each and my present glasses were about 50 degrees too high thats y i was having headaches from using my PC. when seeing near stuff, the high degree was making the things i see too sharp and tired my eyes out even more than wearing contacts. but i'm so happy to know that i'm not over 700 degrees as i had always tot i was! hoho.. looking forward to collecting my specs next week :)

千三百六十五: またOT

its the time of the month again. The month where we eat dinner at work everyday, work till almost midnight everyday and go to work next day super groggy.

Time for UAT!!!

argh.

just reached home. I don't think I wan to OT til super late tomorrow, and its always a race for time. If we don't do the tests by today, the US/Europe side can't solve the bugs when they are awake, and we lose a day. we are always at the losing end cos they start their week later than us yet we depend on them for our test cases and our bug solving.

today was like the day of figuring out how to use the system. They decided to use a new bug logging program, which sux, and we had to learn from scratch how to use it. It was a stupid program, no editing of previous results and we had to do everything from scratch for any failed tests that we were retesting. so today I realised that the fastest way of doing the tests was to ignore that program, type my comments in Word, then finally at one go log all the comments and create and link the bugs. Seriously, its using that thing that took up the bulk of our time today. but not bad, i was quite fast, managed to do like 13 tests in 6 hours. sounds really slow, but it includes doing tests of over 60 steps, doing screen shots for the bug people, and explaining wat went wrong. sighz.

& we found out today one of the girls who had also joined in January had quit. but she was in Japan side, I think it might be that she was dumped with too much admin work and too little IT work. She used to be a software engineer I think, but here, the only IT work she had done so far was tests, doing up a sharepoint website and alo t of excel and word and powerpoints. so.. that creep in my team gets to go on a bizness trip to tokyo to take over her job. sianz. but then what am I complaining about, i just want the trip but not her job. haha.

and that my team leader is like changing job scope so he won't be our leader anymore!! :( so weird la, every 3 months something big happens, no one to do OT with us liao. and we are stuck with that gross guy. argh. nvm we 3 girls shall stick together until he feels how irritating he is. The new lady in the team, who used to be based in Japan MS, is also very sick of his inability to pay attention and to ask dumb questions repeatedly. and she is quite experienced, so she dares to speak very sharply to him. hooray for her!!

work again tomorrow. at least its friday.

千三百六十四: Tea

I can't drink tea. or anything with caffeine after lunch actually. I will stay awake until really late cos of it and won't be able to wake up the next day. -.- last night i think i drank too much green tea, and I was up til nearly 2am, trying to fall asleep.

I see Mr Beng in the office intermittently nowadays but I can't be bothered to smile too much and he doesn't really look this way anymore. Time has a way of dulling things.

i realised something else today. i blast my earphones loudly to avoid hearing the voice in my head. else my thoughts would deafen and overcome me and I would get no peace.

sometimes when i'm feeling bored, I'll just click on my friends' nick in msn to see if they got new photos. sometimes u get pleasant surprises, u find out some people got attached, some people became better looking, some of their idols have changed or you find out what anime they are watching currently.

I came home very early today, because James gave me a lift on his way to jurong from work. he wanted to leave at 6pm, and I was so tired from the lack of sleep I decided to just take up the offer. luckily I had finished up most of my stuff last nite b4 meeting TY, today was spent clearing other work. I actually got some job satisfaction today, figured out how to use Infopath, how to put up my stuff in Sharepoint, all the complicated process of trying to make everything available to everyone, and I did it on the Japanese vista w/o help! felt happy about that, the burst of effort gave me no time to think about other matters as well. and time went by pretty fast today. No good friday holiday for me on friday, but on the bright side, lunch is company sponsored. wahaha. its great that on sg PH that we have to work, the company sponsors lunch. cos all the surrounding canteens are closed, we need the welfare. hoho.

looking forward to watching Nada Sou Sou and 武士の一分 next week!

千三百六十三: Happy Anniversary!

2 years le. so fast. next week will be nine months since i've been back from Japan. 9 months of long distance relationship. time really flies I guess.

just for fun: the toilet sign at Fuji TV changes!
Toilet sign at Fuji TV Men's toilet Fuji Television
Raf the dog got more urgent as time passed

so cute right?! the first one was taken last year, in May, the 2nd one was taken last week. The place even bothers to change their toilet signboards to keep the novelty. Well done!!

ate Japanese food today at Akashi. I was surprised TY remembered to msg me, it was really a pleasant surprise. I tried to clear up my tests for tomorrow cos today it was a super scary stressful telephone conference, with my boss sounding scarily quiet and unsatisfied and stern and we all didn't dare to breathe even, and I was trying to explain my bugs and all the time thinking that why she asked for details when she just said she wanted a summary. luckily i reacted pretty fast but it was like a huge super relief when the call was over. so the pleasant surprise dinner invitation gave me something to smile about after the torturous call. and I discovered a URS outlet at vivocity! yay! and i was thinking I had to go all the way to bugis. I knew they had to have one there, the place is so huge. i only wear URS heels in sg, actually, i have tried and tried to search but there are no other shoe makers which are as comfortable for me and my long toes.

ok time to finish the last episode of the 派遣の品格。i dozed off towards the last 10 min yesterday. -.-

千三百六十一: 派遣の品格

this drama made me damn pissed off at my boss. no wonder I'm being paid peanuts. cos the Japanese treat contract staff like monkeys. the 正社員 , permanent employees are the elites, while the contract staff are just people to support them. on watching the show, I realised that i've been too stupid. work so hard for a company that doesn't even see my worth for wat? come and leave straight on the dot, as long as u get ur work done, dun need to really care bout all these pretending to have give face behaviour.
