千三百六十: Clubs and Curfews

i went clubbing last nite.

it was a on the spur decision. and I am very glad I brought the short short black skirt just in case even though I had no programs in the morning. I was just supposed to meet a fren at st james for a drink but it turned out the my cousin felt tired and wanted to leave early and another fren went to MOS instead. so we were at St James for a while, it was quite fun actually until we realised no more people were joining us. So I decided to head down MOS which was a very good decision. I got to know a few other guys who were all my cousin's colleagues while my cousin wasn't around, and it was just all people of my age group around me again which felt great. it felt great to be part of the big crowd dancing or just bobbing along in the Smoove room while there are guys you know hovering around u so u dun have to be afraid of strange guys. i realised how much I missed that half-giddy feeling after a few drinks (i am a weak drinker), where u just get bold enuff to lose ur inhibitions and just do what you feel like, not caring if anyone is looking at you or not. Also missed that feeling of dancing close to a good looking guy, standing so close cos there isn't much space but yet with just that bit of space in btw u 2 still so that you are not just liplocking. haha.

at about 3.30am, we went to MS Bak Kut Teh area for supper, a whole big group of about 8 people. i think it was the alcohol, but the conversation thoughout sounded very funny. by the time we finished it was about 4.30 or 5am.

i hate it that my mom chooses to ignore the fact that I am almost 25 and insists upon doing stupid things when I say I am coming home late. She insists that I should come home by 2am ?????? wtf, clubbing fun only starts then and I noe I can nv do that so its either say okok to appease her or just ignore all phone calls after that time. She decides to wait up and send idiotic msgs like "I am going to die, you can't even answer the phone???" and of cos will blame me for her lack of sleep the next day. yes, I agree that I've been home late abit more these days since I got to know this group of friends, BUT I've missed having a social life so much ever since i came back from Japan. i hv no bf here to jio out on a whim, I can only rely on other people being free than remembering me, and most still are in the midst of their studies. Yes I have been perhaps going out a bit too late on wkdays, but its my choice and I still responsibly get to work the next day, not even taking MC or wat. what the heck am I supposed to do? I enjoy these night activities with the right group, i haven't enjoyed myself so much since uni clubbing days, and I know what my limits are. so please, just give me a break from the dumb curfew thing when I am not a kid anymore!!

Anyway, I headed to the dentist this morning and now my rubber bands are green! then was supposed to go Sentosa this afternoon but it was cancelled and I decided to go for Japanese lessons instead. our sensei is pregnant!! and her story was very eerie. apparently she can see ghosts. One week b4 she found out she was pregnant, she suddenly woke up in the nite at 3am. she saw a man jumping into her tummy area. we were very confused for a while until we realised she meant really literally she saw that man jumping into her tummy and it wasnt human. OMG!!! we were all so freaked out in class. and then the next week after that incident, she found out she was pregnant. she said the man looked like he was in his 20s. It wasn't a dream she said but it is definitely super creepy!! now, who wants to bet that the sex of her baby is male?

ok its time to sleep i think. can barely open my eyes le.

千三百五十九: The Number 23

I watched The Number 23.

It was quite creepy, but not as scary as I had thought it would be. Some scenes was censored in the show I am sure, there was a weird scene that didn’t make sense until the end when I understood, but overall it was quite gd the story. The Theory of the number was interesting, but it’s just like saying any number can become a 9? so after that you start noticing all numbers in the show and how they can become a 23. quite irritating, especially for someone who enjoys puzzles and likes to do such things but not while watching a movie!

but the scenes of the murders were quite disturbing. ok i m pretty much a wuss when watching gore and blood. and murders. since my imagination always runs wild.

then i fell asleep at about 12, while waiting for my hair to dry and i was bellydown on my bed while waiting (cannot lie back with my hair all wet and will cause very bad and dry hairends) so I fell asleep with my laptop in front of me cos I was exhausted from the late nites of the past 2 days. zzz. and woke up at 2.30am to see a msg from someone telling me to go sleep. oops.. haha. i was Asleep!! and my hair had almost dried by then so i just switched off the pC and went to bed. couldnt really wake up this morning but it was better than the past 2 days. abit late this morning, so I took the bus and had a long nap until work. so I am probably alot more awake today.

yay received my pay yesterday! but have to pay so many bills. at least I think I saved about 50% per month so far.

千三百五十八: TMNT

Teenage Mutants Ninja Turtles - turtles in a hard shell, turtle Power!!

TMNT the movie was funny! laughed alot, but their master the rat, looked very strange. at times, the turtles looked bo gei. (no teeth) but the action was pretty gd, kept me on my toes most of the time. my only grouse was that the person in front of me was tooo tall!!! i had to watch the movies with my head tilted most of the time..

could hardly stay awake in the office this afternoon, but i felt perfectly fine in the evening. it was a pretty good evening. :)

千三百五十七: Weepy

I didn't realise I would have such a big reaction to the end of the trip. Kissed Ryo gdbye b4 the immigration / customs check area, hugged, and then just walked sadly in. I was alone in the boarding area, waiting for boarding time, and was listening to Desperado by the Eagles on my ipod and I just suddenly started crying and I couldn't stop. I dunno why I welled up, the music just made me think of him laughing when I do stupid things and him saying comforting words when I hurt myself and also him making the effort to have fun at disneyland even though he isn't so young anymore. and it made me think of the times i was hugged to sleep this whole week and now I'm like 5500 km away again and i just couldn't stop the tears. it was embarrassing but I also didn't really want to stop crying. :(

千三百五十六: Last day.... sighz.

ok i'm trying to blog from the hotel here.

shifted yesterday, the hotel has a 32" plasma LCD tv, accidentally watched tv until about 2.40am. BUT no lan broadband internet in the room, pretty irritating. our hotel overlooks the le Meridien hotel  (those poor folks at that hotel probably can't see the sea at all) and we can see the monorail right outside our window. Our hotel is in Odaiba by the way. and the amenities in the room is super cool and pretty. hehe.

i finally found my jeans last nite! accidentally. we were like thinking its abit late, at about 8pm, but we had the day pass to the monorail so we took a ride to the Toyota megaweb area with the gigantic ferris wheel and there was venus fort there, a shopping complex that was designed to look italian and a beautiful fountain inside. so we were walking around, i suddenly saw this sign that says levi's ladies jeans sale and it was like 15000yen jeans going for 5000 yen and it was the ladies perfect body series with like leather trim on the pockets. fits me great, so happy!!!

so i guess thats about all for my shopping for the trip, couldn't find a bag that i really like, probably going to Fuji TV later (next to the hotel) and maybe Aqua city again (its also next to the hotel). i didn't manage to get any thing for my cousin..sorry, but there wasn't anything that really suited him.

had breakfast at their restaurant, morning buffet, it was pretty good, and we had counter seats that faced rainbow bridge and we watched the ships go by while eating breakfast. VERY relaxing. this is why people live near the sea.
I better go shower and pack liao, only 45 min left til check out.

on NW5, 6.45pm - 1.25am tonite. fyi.

千三百五十五: Shibuya Shopping!

today I went on a shopping frenzy.. (#^-^#)

bought presents for my sisters, bought myself alot more clothing, actually not that much but more than i would have bought in any shopping trip in Sg and felt very happy.

Ryo bought a pair of shoes too, finally he bought something haha. we went to look at sneakers, I couldn't buy any for myself, cos i have no more space in my luggage!! sianz so after that i went to 109 and bought myself 2 tops and then a game at Bic camera. i didn't realise i have points in my Bic camera point card! so happily got 600 yen discount for the game. woohoo. then we zobo-ed at starbucks abit, then we had dinner at a German grill restaurant. the portion is enormous and it was very delicious.

Pepper Pork Steak
black pepper pork steak

so full after that... I went to stock up my toiletries from Matsumoto Kiyoshi, a drug store with like everything, and bought a ton of hair repair stuff. we are moving to another hotel tomorrow, to stay one night in a good hotel, Hotel Nikko Tokyo. its in Odaiba, unfortunately not facing the sea, but facing the tokyo bay park, good enuff i hope.

so we came back to pack our bags and i realise my half empty luggage is now 120% full!! argh, its the sneakers' fault but i guess my own shopping oso contributed quite alot. hopethat it isn't overweight.. but at least Ryo will be helping me when we go to Narita together on Tuesday afternoon. sighz. one week just went by like that. I dun wan to go back to work on wednesday!!! although I am looking forward to payday on Friday. hahaha

千三百五十四: Tower of Terror

anyway, it's supposed to be spring time in Japan already, despite the freezing weather. The flowers are out, the sakuras are barely out but its supposed to be spring.

IMG_3344

& just nice, this year Disneysea is celebrating their 5 year anniversary, so there were all the deco stuff hanging around and their spring carnival had just started the day b4, so there were like special events and promotions too.

The main ride everyone rushed for was the Tower of Terror. It's a new ride, just started since September 2006 and even when we entered the park at barely 9.20am on a weekday morning, the queue was at least 1 km long for the fast pass for this ride. with the main queue having a wait time of 120minutes. !!! so we queued about 30 minutes for the fast pass, we got a time slot of 1555-1655 at 10am in the morning. -.-

Tower of Terror FastPass

but it saved us alot of queueing time i guess, since we were now free to queue for other shows. so to give u an idea of what the tower looks like:

Hotel Hightower - Tower of terror

This is just the front of the tower, I realised I didn't take a full pic of the tower. but its a free fall ride, so we were taken up to this 38 metre high area while the story of Mr Hightower's (owner of the hotel ) is being narrated and we were just rising and rising in this elevator car structure while in the building until we reached the top and finally, we stopped for 2 seconds at this open window area where u can see how high u are and ur heart just stops when you see and you realise this is when it happens and then the car just drops and the free fall weightless feelings just hits u . I couldn't stop screaming and the car stops after 5-6 seconds (i think) and i thought phew its over and then it starts rising again. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! and then i was thinking "oh shit oh shit" all the way to the top and it was another broken window lookout stop for 2 seconds before a much longer drop this time, all the way screaming to the end. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

when the ride ended I was jelly legs and ryo was laughing his head off cos it was damn funny that i screamed the whole way. -.-

argh.

The rest of the days was mostly shows except for the Storm Rider ride. They had this broadway styled theater show and it was pretty good, and the Mickey could play the drums very well and also dance. yes, in the costume.

Didnt see many characters that day, only 3:

Chip or Dale
Is this Chip or is this Dale?

a Duck
McDuck

Marie the cat
& Marie the cat with weird eyes

There was fireworks at night, but it was so short, only about 1-2 min so it wasn't that great.

anyway, yesterday, woke up at 1pm again.. i dunno why is it so difficult to wake up here, today also actually. and then we just bummed around until about 5pm while Ryo did some work and we went to Uniqlo cos I really was out of clothes and got myself a few pieces of clothing. no sale unfortunately, but in the end most of the clothes i bought were more suited for singapore. hehehe. then we went Akihabara, cos i saw the Canon Selphy Photo printer ES1 on tv and tot it was pretty cool. BUT.. turns out they use some weird cartridge set for their ink and paper, it was quite impractical even though the print quality was good. HP was the next best choice, but alot more expensive. maybe I'll check out the HP one somemore later. Had a great Korean food dinner, forgot to take pictures only until the end though... hehe

Today we are supposed to go to Meiji Jingu or Asakusa but we are feeling very lazy and its already 2pm. argh.

千三百五十一: Weight Loss

These few days I've been trying to get my abs into some sort of shape other than round. so I was hula-hooping and then my sis suddenly commented that I looked thinner and that my shoulder and bust seems smaller (= almost nothing left). I was very surprised, didn't know what to say since I had been eating normally.

after that, during dinner I was thinking about what she said, and I really had only a small appetite. even though I was famished before dinner, during dinner I couldn't eat alot. thought back to the week and I realised my eating portions were really getting lesser and lesser. Being sick, I didn't have much of an appetite for the past week. Friday's lunch was just sandwiches from breakfast time and dinner was cup noodles. yesterday had pasta for lunch but there wasn't enuff and I just stayed hungry until dinner time and I only ate a little too during dinner cos I was afraid there wouldn't be any left for my sis when she came back. today too, only had lunch and the little bit of dinner. nothing seemed appetising. and then I decided to weigh myself and omg, I had thought i was at least still 45Kg, but nope, I was only a bare 41.5kg and this is after dinner directly. I'm quite shocked.

i just hope tomorrow morning's big thing goes smoothly, am just feeling sick in my stomach thinking about it.

千三百五十: The Messengers

The movie The Messengers is freaking scary!! the whole theatre was silent throughout the scary parts and even guys were covering their eyes with their hands. haha. the story is so-so only, but the ghosts were freaking gross la.

First time i ever watched a movie in The Cathay picturehouse, i think i prefer Cineleisure better. the screen was a bit small here. went with cj and his fren to watch the 1.25am show, the cinema was surprisingly filled up even at such a time. after the movie, went for supper at al-ameen beauty world, chatted until about 4.30am , then he sent me home. luckily, he lives only 5 min away from me.

someone is going to send postcards to me!! i'm so excited!! :D

千三百四十八: Where's Wally?

Something big to happen on Monday morning. very early Monday Morning. I am excited, jittery, scared, and hopeful at the same time. And there is enormous pressure on me to play Where's Wally, in a public place, to find a face I might or might not recognise in the morning crowd. All the best to me.

Some random & crazy thoughts:
  • I went back to work yesterday, with traces of blood still coming out with my spit.
  • It was a mistake to wear my short denim skirt with the tight shirt to work this morning. Very sexy, but very uncomfortable.
  • Mr Beng gave a half-past 6 smile at me today. I was feeling abit sickly, so I barely gave him any smiles as well. He looks abit jaded and old from upfront.
  • I was very very happy to receive some sms-es from a person who's in the far east right now. (is it the far east? or is it more middle east? hmmm. ) hehe. hopefully I was not receiving a mass sms yah? I was smiling ear to ear for a whole hour after that. jialat. I must stop such silly behaviour.
  • I actually was regretting that I will be away from SG 22-25th March. Ok, I must stop regretting that as well.
  • I am actually re-reading the few sms-es I received btw these few days when I am feeling lonely to make myself dream and smile.
  • I managed to create 60 agreements all by myself today. hopefully I will be able to work at this pace or better on Monday as well else I probably can't leave on Monday night liaoz.
  • Cyril Takayama totally takes my breath away. Very mind-boggling as well.
  • It's very sianz that I probably will miss XH giving birth. argh!!!!
  • The movie 300 has a funny effect on guys who's watched it. They will go around quoting stuff about being a man from the show and wanting to tear their shirts apart (which reminds me of the incredible hulk instead.) . wahaha!!!
  • I feel like shouting "i miss u!!!!" at the top of my voice to everyone and anyone.

Ok, back to some normality, I am watching desperate housewives & Grey's anatomy consecutively, and its nearing the last episode of 華麗なる一族. My fren stupidly spoilt the ending for me; i still hope its not watever he said, but I am still dying to watch the next episode. I stayed late at work again, on those 60 agreement things. I am totally a control freak i realise, I find it a lot faster to do things myself and my way than to bother explaining and teaching people what to do and end up they do a shoddy job for u and u have to check still. and u might as well do it urself so that u totally know what's going on in everything that is created. I can't really think straight now, all i can think of is what will happen on monday morning if i fail. :s

I wish tonight was monday night already.
I MISS YOU!!!!
although i am looking forward to the 28th as well.

千三百四十七: MC

Got MC after seeing the doc last nite. He said the nosebleed was maybe due to blood vessel bursting in my nose due to the flu. if it doesnt stop after i recover from the flu, then it's serious problem. He even asked if I had any family history of nose cancer etc. I felt abit scared it was going to be something serious.

so I took his flu tablets, woke up this morning to spit out all the blood in my mouth. it was fresh bright red, and it was actually quite scary. the nosebleed hadn't stopped this morning yet, and my nose was stuck, i dunno with the blood or the mucus but the blood came out one huge lump with the mucus when I blew my nose. yuck...

so today I napped intermittently the whole day, think my monthly cramps probably led to the tiredness as well. napped until 8+ , stood up and just felt nauseaus, broke out in cold sweat. I don't know how that came about. and I had to sit down in the bathroom for a while to wait for the feeling to pass, cos I didn't want to puke.

:(

My nose is less blocked now, the bleeding is finally over (at least I am only spitting blood, but its not flowing from my nose liaoz). work again tomorrow. yikes. hopefully got some useful work to do. i dun like having to pretend to be busy.

My nose bleed has not stopped since 11.30am. someone help me!!

千三百四十五:Monday Flu

  • Sniffles the whole day, I sounded like an elephant as i blew my nose and honked and disturbed the surrounding peace.
  • Got work that didn't make any sense to me again, luckily some saviours were around and I could check with them my line of thinking was correct (it was.)
  • Almost fainted in the loo, was just feeling giddy while closing the door and had to take a few moments to steady myself against the wall.
  • Alot of newbies came in today. apparently the guys finished army and the girls just finished JC. hmmm.
  • Mr Beng smiled at me today. I'll admit it. I'm a wuss. I have totally no guts to stop him in his tracks and ask him who he is.
  • Got an unexpected call which totally made my day. *Evil laughter* The molester will never know what hit him.
  • Got another unexpected sms in the evening as well which made me pretty happy too. :) but that's just me cheering myself up. i think.
  • the person who's supposed to contact me the most didn't contact me in the evening however. as expected. sighz.

千三百四十四:The Weekend

Friday
This weekend I got to noe a few of ZC's friends from his course, and we went for a movie on Friday after work at Vivocity and then to St James.

I ate Carl's Jr's Taco Salad for the first time (first time i eating at this franchise as well) and it was too much. abit ex, difficult to eat, quite nice at first but after awhile the vegetables stick to ur teeth (& braces) and become super irritating.

300 is great!! the honor and the integrity and the manliness is super exemplified by the Spartans. and their fighting skills are so systematic, so strategised that you can't help but say wow. unfortunately, it is gory, as all war movies, and this is a little worse because it uses spears and swords, not guns, and alot of limbs and heads and flying around.

so after that at about 11+, we headed to St James, my first time as well. it was not bad, abit too packed, interesting layout of rooms, went to look around almost all the rooms except dragonfly, the canto-pop room. THere was a live performance there, although from the top, it looks abit like a getai performance. hehe.

then we went to C's place at about 2++ to play cards and hv more drinks and played xbox. its like the days at zhiwen's place, except no mahjong and no ps2. haven't had such fun in a while, it made me really miss the days back when the guys were still in army and then they would have alot of time on their hands. and be less tired of cos. in the end everyone was asleep by about 7am,& something weird happened the next morning. that aside, i woke up at about 10am.

Saturday
got home at about 10+, then C asked me if i wanted to go sentosa with them. since i hadn't been in the sun for awhile, i went, and it was a good relaxing day with the sun and the sea. played frisbee and sat at Cafe del mar for about an hour waiting for the rest of the rest of the people to come. after that they got into the water but i didnt bring any change of clothes so i just wandered around the edge. :s i should go get matching bottoms soon. ... it was wonderful weather yesterday, and i'm glad I went. got a little tanner (luckily not that much) and we headed to Vivocity for dinner at Superdog at about 7pm.

we wanted to catch a movie but then Notes on a Scandal was over!! was abit shocked then we didnt have a place to go, so we went to watch VCD instead. I didn't know there was the movie Butterfly Effect 2 and we watched that but i think Butterfly Effect 1 was better. was very tired after the day in the sun so I got back home at around 10.30 pm and conked out.

Sunday
  • tried to study. haha.
  • watched 3 episodes of Desperate housewives - Mike seems to be having feuds or something against almost all the new guys in Wisteria Lane
  • watched Episode 8 of 華麗なる一族 - so very exciting! but very sad at the same time. 鉄平 (kimura) found out some life changing facts about his parents. and everything seems to be going wrong for him.
  • and i got flu. my nose is stuck and my throat is sore. sighz.

千三百四十三:Grouchy Day

I feel like the pits the whole day. Now still.

I am just sick of the direction that this whole relationship is moving towards. Maybe he is right after all.

I dun wan to do anything anymore.

千三百四十二: The Pursuit of Happyness

4 out of 5 stars for this show. It was quite touching, and it was very cool to see him play with the Rubik’s cube. So if u wan to test if man is a math genius, get him to try to complete a Rubik’s cube. Hoho.

In a pretty foul mood now. Its like information is not coming down from the top, no orders, no comments, no nothing, and we are supposed to go figure out (as someone who’s quite underpaid) how to struggle out of the water. When I ask about something I dun understand, I dun expect a answer directly, maybe point me in the direction at least. Not a line such as “ you don’t have to get back to me each time”. Erh. I was just following the procedures of the other lead who reported changes to you? Whatever. It really pisses me off. But heck la.

so i just did what i thought i was supposed to do, and also fought for my 5 days of leave. phew. I almost didn't get it but luckily, because I already bought the air ticket, she decided that it was her own fault she didn't tell us of the month end 's happenings. phew.

ok la, i know today's post is a little weird. pieces here and there but i am having a very distracted mind and lack of sleep. bye bye

千三百四十一: Boliao Meetings.

.. as the title states. drains us and we dunno whats going on and the point of attending and we can't hear clearly thru the teleconference system. ...

8 am teleconf tomorrow, hopefully it goes well cos I do not really know what i'm doing there.

today i was so sleepy, from watching Kimura Takuya late into the night yesterday.haha. the show is getting so dramatic and exciting!!! the damn father in the show is screwing him over so many ways that the hatred for him is rising!! 夢はつぶさない!!!go 鉄平!!

千三百四十: Northwest Rules!

I've finally got my ticket from Northwest Airlines to Tokyo after much procrastination on Ryo's part! yay! It offers the cheapest ticket to Japan after taxes, and even after adding domestic flight fare from Tokyo to Osaka, it beats Malaysia Airlines' timings and prices (which were the next cheapest). I would love to take SQ again; it felt great when Kev was able to go with me the last time so that we could both fly in comfort while taking advantage of the lowered prices, but their single-traveller unfriendly fares don't allow me to do that. Why though? its sad enough that the person is travelling alone, and you want to make tons more off him or her for it? The single traveller is a blessing to the airline, they should recognise and appreciate them for it. They do not make a ruckus on the plane (being alone, they seldom can cause much chaos) and they are definitely less demanding than families. and its not like they take up more seats or space, so why should they be bearing the burden of the promotions to the group travellers?

The Northwest online reservation system was abit buggy though, and I had to try 5-6 times before I was finally able to make a reservation successfully. I'll be away from March 20 - 27, pending approval of my leave from my boss, but it should be of no problem. Now, if only they started routes direct to Osaka as well.

All I have to do now is to check out the "Welcome to Japan" domestic fare package from JAL to get to Osaka & Okinawa. yay!

千三百三十九: Music & Lyrics

This movie is so funny! very hugh grant fashion, witty and sexy all at the same time. go watch it!

I watched this with ZC last nite, 11.40pm show. was actually going to go St James with him but due to some events of the week, his friends didn't want to go clubbing and we ended up watching a movie I wanted to watch on the last day of his course. we were supposed to meet at 9pm, he came at 10pm (!!!) i was feeling abit miffed that i was made to come so much earlier and rushed down when 10pm was the original time I wanted to meet at. grrr. so I walked around vivo abit, got myself something at Zara I couldn't resist (yay, got something new to wear at work!) so i guess this month must scrimp abit of food liao, to keep to the budget. hehe. at 10pm, shops were closing, and he finally came, so we could only window shop around the closed stores. but at least i found the back bridge from harbourfront to Vivo, and discovered a store where u can make ur own stuffed toy. very nice concept; the store even sold stuffed toys clothing for u to customise your toy. (there was a superman cow in the shop)

at 11pm, nothing much to shop for already. then we went to the bridge from Vivo to St James and took a look at the friday crowd. not bad, carpark full, and its the first time i seen it up close. well, a pity last night I didn't have the energy to go clubbing. the night lights of PSA were very pretty though..reflecting on the waters.

after that ,we went to the 2nd level of GV and sat at the waiting area and people watched our time away. there were 3 non-heterosexual guys, there were so many sofas empty, they chose to be flashy/different? by sitting on the floor in front of the couch. -.-! the floor not dirty meh? maybe its more comfortable for them i guess. hmm. oh we bumped into ZX on the way in, and he was on the way out after a movie. he is ZC's brother by the way. what are the chances?! esp when we didnt particularly pick a time to head into GV.

the movie ended at 1.40am, we weren't hungry, so ZC drove me back and i zzz-ed until 1pm today. plans for today, would be to watch star wars 6 i guess.
