most expensive movie ticket ever seen

COS Team morale event movie at Gold Class Grand (Great World City). Since I watched the movie before, the point of watching it was to enjoy the seats (Very comfortable - full reclining) and there was popcorn and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) provided by our manager. so comfortable after drinking a beer and fell asleep at the part when after they were chased by the amazonians. hee hee. woke up when the movie ended.

shopped around with Chloe at Raffles City. There's a sale at Kate Spade btw. but couldn't buy anything cos my card was maxed out. which is a good thing because I want to go shopping in USA!

ate MOS yakiniku Rice Burger for dinner, with their clam chowder. won't be eating the clam chowder soup again for sure, but the burger's pretty good. luckily we ate that. The farewell drinking session was supposed to be at timbre but apparently the staff cocked up the booking and didn't reserve the tables accordingly with the online reservation made by Gerald. In the end, it was lucky that Julius and Lovell headed to Balaclava earlier and had a tiny table there with some standing room. Since the venue had changed, we slowly shopped our way thru citylink till we reached suntec. Quite a fun nite with a lot of jokes by Christine.

drinks until very late and headed home at about 6am.

i dunno why Julius fly me kite about Ironman outing again.

The luck cycles in my life is very obvious.

When my luck is down, everything really goes haywire.

I wonder if I will get a chance to speak my mind today. hmm. it;s hard to talk over the phone and persuade someone.

Partly waiting for my nails to dry, my hair to dry and for the 3rd episode of Change to be out. its hard to avoid the sides of ur fingers when painting the nails a dark colour.

suddenly recollected this while painting my nails.

we were queuing at an Indian restaurant in shinjuku for dinner on the 2nd last evening, which seemed to be full and the manager came out and asked us to wait a while, cos they had a tour group of Indians who were finishing up. I was like .. ? u come Japan for a short tour also eat indian food?? shouldn't touring be about experiencing local food and cultures? very weird...

Indiana Jones movie tmr evening after the eye check.. I hope I can see...

Planning for trip to Korea for summer holidays in September. will be in Seoul for a few days then probably head to a resort in Cheju. Trying to source the cheapest tickets for myself now and research on resorts as well.

I couldn't sleep last nite, was tossing and turning thinking how much I hated to go to work these few days due to lack of motivation. I hate not using my brains..

trip to Redmond is confirmed for 7th - 15th June. Luckily managed to get SQ, will transit in Incheon. Feeling excited that I can buy abercrombie stuff again i guess. and being able to be upgraded to elite silver on krisflyer. ;D

千六百七十四： What happens in Vegas

Watched *What happens in Vegas* with WK and the movie was super funny. the front part reminded me of frens though, the part when Rachel and Ross got married accidentally in Vegas and tried to get an annulment. I wonder how is it like to really be in such whirlwind romances.

Gatsby advert showing very frequently on tv. 「好きにやっちゃって」as the catchphrase. I wonder how much they are spending on advertising around the world..

Caught a glimpse of Zoe Tay at Ngee Ann City Civic plaza. Her hair is now soooo short! (page boy cut!) think she looks best with this hairstyle, more feminine cos her features are so strong? but of cos still looking better than most of us at her age.

After that walked around at Takashimaya, went to zara and bought 2 pullovers with stripes. Stripes are in! saw red and white stripes and couldn't help but buy. heehee. and then bought a yellow tube dress oso.. all cheap cheap .. 3 pieces for less than $100.

i must stop using the CC le... almost hitting the limit i think?!? hmm..

after that we went to boat quay.. swisshotel for dinner.. then went to see fireworks. just in time for fireworks actually, when we had actually intended to watch the whole show. :D

walked around in Central after that, but realised that there weren't that many shops.... quite a boring place actually.

thinking alot these days. because I have a lot of time on my hands. the whole day..

but I can only think.

I can't use the time on my hands to do other more constructive stuff because the time is paid for by the office. haiz.

Dental appointment tomorrow. teeth didn't move at all this month. I guess they sorta reached the stagnant phase le. to hope for the braces to be taken out by july?

千六百六十九： Jobs in JP

Getting started on the JP job search, contacted a JP based agency and they asked me to send them my resume. After I sent them the English resume, they asked me to send them the japanese one.. and sent me some samples. its like the first round of japanese tests. argh. gotta do them up by tonite and ask some trusted pple around me to vet the letters for grammatical errors.

Was asking the pple around me how they found jobs in coming to SG. I guess the first step is to approach the agents first.. and they sent me all sorts of websites. very helpful. I would hate to leave... if not for the fact that either i have to sacrifice them or sacrifice a life with ryo. argh.

Nothing much going on at work these days, i'm now almost a full-time gatekeeper, which sucks. Not challenging (braindead job...) and my head hurts from not using it at all for the whole day.

千六百六十八： A Day at the Races

Went to turf club with the japanese guys from the office yesterday.



never been to the turf club before and always my impression is of those .. gambler type old men so was glad for a chance to go take a look under the protection of 5 other guys. :D

$7 for admission into the upper grandstand area which was airconditioned.

then.. at first we stood around, cos those ah pek booked the seats with their newspapers.. no seats aniwhere! the races started at 3.30pm, and we stood for 2 races, guessing the results and finally only began to buy at the 3rd race. and i won a small amt because i happened to buy the correct top 3 horses based on S anyhow saying buy these 3. keke. after that it was like lose lose lose but O won $80+ for his correct guess of first placing for race 4 and S won finally at the last race about $150+ by fluke when he bet on a horse which wasn't very popular. well done! at least everyone won something, and we had dinner at Jurong east after that (winners treat of cos) heh..

千六百六十六： Crystal Jade Dining In

Dinner with S last night at Vivocity, at Crystal Jade Dining In. 

Its been 2 months. ..

Dinner was ok, sometimes weird pauses. hmm. but overall ok. I guess it's not only me who's weird. both of us still feel abit weird. 

After dinner, walked to the benches outside Vivocity facing sentosa and sat there and had a good chat until 11pm. He is the most resolute guy out of all 3, which is a relief, cos I was sick of indecisiveness and really wanted someone to just decide stuff for me. and at least he is supportive as well. everyone is giving me the same advice for watever i'm facing now... argh. i guess now the only thing holding me back is my teeth and eyes. (braces... gotta finish up the treatment and then want to do lasik b4 i leave.)

吉岡さん treated me to dinner today for helping her bring back stuff from Japan from her sister. :D

had a nightmare last night, that we were quarrelling.

woke up with a headache.

dreams are so tiring.

I feel more tired than if I had never slept I think.

Redmond trip coming up again, I just wish they would confirm the dates though.

post-JP depression is sinking in alot more this time. I dunno how to cure it, there is nothing to look forward to, only me to push myself to maybe find a job in JP. but do I really want to leave here? Maybe to be allowed to work in tokyo every 2-3 months is a better option.

i feel kind of sour at some of the things i heard today. I had decided that such talk was common and it might or might not be true but I shouldn't let it affect my emotions but it does, no matter what, to hear of others being treated/met up with the way I wanted but can't, all because I'm not in the same country. Even so, I think things will be very difficult to be in the same area. I can't really concentrate.

and to be asked the weirdest question. like .. why u dun tell the users to do it themselves. erh. because i'm supposed to be support? and like i've been handling it ok, I like to do it anyway, its a learning process for me as well, so why are u questioning me? if I am complaining about my workload, fine, u can be harsh with me for being stupid and accepting requests, but I'm not complaining, so why so ji4 jiao4? keeps me on my toes about new SKUs, about new issues, about new additions to the system so I'm not complaining. i love testing the system in fact, putting it through all sorts of trouble so that if anything happens I can seek the solution. so. why not do the extra job? weird.. these pple. well. and I got no authority to say no, as a CS, my neck is on the line. so . if u wan to say no, u say it for me. i prefer my time to be occupied than to sit down and surf net anyway.

back in sg this early morning on flight NH901.

Took the limousine bus from the hotel at about 1pm.. & managed to take a picture on the bus before we fell asleep..

on the bus from Shinjuku to Narita

Reached the airport in about 1.5 hours, my luggage had increased by 4kg.. reached JP with 16.5kg and left with 20.5kg. had lunch and then parted with Ryo at Narita at about 4pm. sighz. again.

Walked around the airport shops, bought some skincare pdts from the DFS shops, then went to sit down in the lounge to wait. it's always a torture to wait alone for boarding, especially having to look at other people with company, like families or other lovey dovey couples. i'm used to flying alone, but i don't like to.

It was a turbulent flight with bad food. I can't believe the bad luck when the guy in front of me could order the chicken and then the CA told me that they only had fish left. WTF!? sickening, that really ruined my impression of the airline from the first flight. the CA was very apologetic but what to do, no food means no food. choked down abit of the fish, (the chicken dish was chicken cordon bleu...) and then just no appetite to eat liao.

watched 3 movies on the flight, or actually 2.5. the ending of the 旅の贈り物　0.00発、 銀色のシーズン、陰日向に咲く
all Japanese movies, cos I watched the English movies they showed before le. The Bucket List, and 27 dresses. They were showing Jumper.. thats all, no interest in that. tried to take a nap after that, cos my eyes were beginning to hurt.

finally reached singapore at 12.20am, I was feeling so depressed & tired. Depressed cos I really wanted to be JP alot longer, I just love the work environment there, and the air and the general feeling that its ok to be alone but then in the same country as the bf. to have had 2 weeks almost totally together with him makes it alot harder to be back now in sg alone.

reached home and unpacked and showered and was finally able to sleep by 3am.

this really sux. when can I just go back on a 1 way ticket??

Stayed in the room whole day today due to flu. (T.T) must be due to overwork..

ultimate waste of my last day here ... very sad... cos wanted to go shopping. it was raining the whole day somemore.. then slept the whole day.. after waking up, went downstairs to krispy kreme and thats it. splitting headache and came back to sleep the whole day away.

hopefully i'll be able to come back soon..

千六百六十二： Hello from MSKK

writing this from the office.

its lunchtime now but everyone isn't around so I'm just sitting around until someone adopts me for lunch.

what did I do last weekend?

Saturday - checked out slowly in the morning b4 rushing to Haneda Airport for my flight to Osaka(i didn't know it was raining) Met Ryo at Osaka Station, went to the weekly mansion at 堺筋本町 and started on my laundry. went to 心斎橋 and ate delicious ramen for dinner. I hate ramen normally but this shop managed to actually cook it in such a way until i actually like it! with very handsome waiters also, and also the restaurant was not the kind that have greasy old men eating ramen. I think we went back quite early after that.

Sunday - Ryo did his work until about 4pm and then we visited his friend's house for dinner.

Monday - went to Rinku Town Premium Outlets. bought myself a tiny leather kate spade handbag. :D Ryo bought a samsonite luggage. Had dinner at 梅田, went to yodobashi to buy a DS cos my one is cracked. and the games kept getting deleted. starting from the beginning 3 times is not fun. ate Kyoto-styled Pasta and then headed back to the room to try to catch SMAPXSMAP but the stupid holidays special cancelled out the show for that day. argh.

Tuesday - stayed in the room because Ryo had to do his work. we went to the same ramen shop for dinner though. :D seeing the handsome waiters made me quite happy.

Wednesday - flew from Osaka to Tokyo at 7.45am for work. slept the 1 hour in the plane away. reached work at about 10.30am JPT. ate dinner and drank quite a lot last nite at 有楽町 area last night with MS colleagues. :D the hotel is pretty cool for these 2 days. Staying at Remm Hotel Hibiya - http://www.remm.jp/hibiya/room.html, and the room has a see thru concept, where u can see the shower from the bed. hehe.

Today should be meeting ryo for dinner... should I go buy some lunch now?

Am in Osaka right now but going to tokyo on the 7.45am flight tomorrow morning. work again.

almost 1 week in tokyo le

• Sunday --- Shuttling between airports, it was Narita to hotel to Haneda then Ikebukuro then hotel and had italian food near the hotel
• Monday --- work, sushi lunch with Maya at myLord and then dinner with Ryo at バンタイ a thai restaurant at Kabuki-cho.
• Tuesday --- Odaiba from early morning after checkout from itabashi, stoned around Fuji Television area myself as Ryo had work at a Capcom event at Big Sight. met him for lunch at Decks, and we wandered around Palette town until evening, he went back to Osaka, I went to check in at 西新宿 area.
• Wednesday --- work , PM beside me brought me to lunch, a pasta place in front of the office building. then treated me Starbucks as well. Dinner was with the ex capcom colleagues, at a 焼肉 restaurant at 初台。
• Thursday --- finally no queue at Krispy Kreme this morning! a rare sight, quickly went in and bought 1 donut for breakfast. they gave me a donut free as well. keke. PM brought me to lunch again and invited my ex-boss as well. she treated me to korean チゲ for lunch. and also a drink from Tully's. :D every one is so kind to me!! but there is a problem, dunno what to do about dinner tonite. I called robert and he seems to be working late so maybe I better have dinner myself first.
• Friday --- work, then meeting Ayako for lunch with Mikako-san and Y-san. should be eating 和食 japanese food. Have to remember to pass the DVDs to Yoshioka-san's sister as well as collect her cosmetics.

its getting warmer, just after I bought a cool looking jacket to wear. sianz. Maybe i'll go walk around takashimaya later.
