SHUCKS.. arrived at work today to realise my boss wasn't in yesterday! shouldn't have wasted money getting MC.. Damn..

did anione realise how clear the sky is today? how good the view is from the 33rd floor of millenia towers overlooking the esplanade? I can see all the way to alexandra from here.. but of all days, i had to forget my digicam today.. :( @#$%^ life is full of wasted opportunities..

have realised that in popularity contests, the meek will NOT triumph. its the evil, the most conniving, cunning, hypocritical pple that will survive. pity that's true in ani other areas like workplace politics as well. :( why are there such pple in society? didn't they learn the gd old values of cooperation, kindness, love, peace and joy? backstabbing is such a disgusting move, something which oni the lowest of the low resort to. how do these pple actualli bring themselves to do such things? dun they feel ani remorse or guilt in speaking ill of other pple? maybe i'm too goody goody for my own health but i believe in doing my best for every single thing to earn the rewards and not thru actions that will adversely affect others.. :( anihow.. not that i encountered backstabbing or anithing, was just thinking all these things on the bus to work..

great day at work! ok not realli that gd cos the my boss came back from thailand.. it was weird cos i had had 4 days of freedom liao and not realli used to her sitting beside me.. aniwayz.. hanping came to find me for lunch today cos he was on the way to simlim to collect his pay for the IT show.. so sweet of him! we wasn't going to meet until wed for a movie cos we seem to be seeing each other way too much but he said he missed me so he came to find me.. :) mmm... wat a sweet guy :) so i had like a late late lunch at 3+ which made working alot easier cos i had oni like 2 hours more to work after lunch haha.. psychologically veri motivating.. aniway... he came back after collecting his pay and we met karen and other sci centre colleagues for dinner and pool.. long time nv played pool liao.. and i didn't noe hanping was such a lame joke king.. we couldn't stop laughing at the cold jokes he was making although salleh was comparable in his lameness.. arhh.. these jokes make me wanna bang my head against the wall..

anihow.. was shocked this morning when lynn suddenli msged me to say she was last.. :( and she got eliminated of course.. didn't realise all the contestants had supporters to push them up last min.. siao!!! from 1st last nite she got eliminated.. wat a pity! :( sorri lynn :(

i must say, this is the happiest i've been in a long time.. nv met anione who realli loves me so much in such a short time, and who actualli makes plans for the future unlike all the other commitment phobes i've met.. i think i'm in love... but i'm scared to let myself sink into this should it be a faux.. i have had enuff retribution for all the past mistakes... please let me have true happiness this time?

finalli got to sleep in. until 10am oni though.. went down to orchard to support lynn and jack at their dreamdate thingey.. jack was late.. and some one gave lynn a bunch of flowers! her fan i think.. lucki her yah.. but i got a flower oso :) hanping gave me a daisy yesterday.. its realli pretty :)

finalli got to see jack and his eliza.. pretty cute couple.. didn't get to tok to her much though.. must be something special for jack to xin dong.. all the best man!! :)

wat a gd day.. :) on cloud 9. had a great date, albeit it being short. Learnt alot, am more sure of things.. woohoo... ! can't stop smiling.. cos i feel sooo happY!!

aniway.. back to reality.. had a good lunch with my colleagues.. think one of them is a butch though.. she was dressed in those gangsta rapper style i was pretty horrified.. it was work after all.. but she's still a nice person.. so i won't comment on her sexual preference... we brought a philippines colleague to eat at mos burger as he hasn't tried it.. and went shopping after that.. G2000 was having a 25% off sale for UOB card members! hehe.. luckily i had money in the bank.. hee.. bought a translucent shirt that looks pretty cool and veri professional looking.. 25% off!! haha.. glad i hold the debit card..

then after that pia work until 6.15 and met hanping for dinner.. he actualli skipped his fren's bday in hall to meet me.. :S feel quite guilty bout that.. but we had a good dinner at out of the pan (raffles city) .. and the waiters weirdly were staring.. at me.. i'm always abit polite to waiters, scared they spit in my food etc.. maybe i looked realli gd in my new shirt? maybe it was cos me and hanping kept on sitting at the table long after we finished out meal to chat and we didn't notice there was a LONG queue of pple waiting for a table.. oops.. i dun like to hog tables but realli didn't see the queue.. had a long chat with him on the bus and got to noe him abit better.. pretty cool guy.. :P

hafta study for my CFA :( about 2 months left oni and i still have alot !! argh.. wish me luck?

today. hmm.. supposed to go Nike sale this morning but i was oredi on the train when hanping called to tell me it was wrong info by his fren. it was just a dumb B.I.R.D. sale at suntec. in the end, since i was oredi outside, we went to collect his IC from ICA building.. then went bugis cos i wanted to trim my eyebrows.. long time since i last had my brows trimmed by a pro.. i look so gd suddenli :) haha.. then bought a pair of heels at URS.. cos the tangerine slippers i was wearing was falling apart ( & they were my sis' aniway.. ) argh.. $45 gone just liddat.. but they looked gd (which was rare, given my bony feet and yucky toes) .. and felt pretty comfortable.. not too casual for work as well.. ah well.. have to get the most use out of it then..

after that.. hanping came to milenia with me for lunch cos i thot i had skived enuff and i betta get back during lunch hour to avoid scrutinising.. had a hurried lunch.. and came back to work.. going to stay till 9pm today just to make up for it though.. :) i'm realli not a slacker!!

figured out how to use my hp as a modem to my laptop.. mUAHAHAH! internet access again!! hee.. had quite a happy day today.. i dun even mind working late.. hahaha.. :)

got to noe some other colleagues at lunch today, turns out they oso from NUS, june 2003 batch.. :) oso on contract jobs but they seemed so much more stressed.. aniway.. finalli have pple to eat lunch with .. :)

the office was freezing cold today. even though i was wearing a blazer, i was shivering like mad.. maybe going to fall sick liao..

met hanping at jp b4 meeting up with my sis.. he's quite sweet (as usual).. ;) laptop veri heavy to lug ard.. i abit sianz of carrying it to work liao.. wonder how come pple can lug one ard everyday.. esp the larger older models..

woot! the Skillsoft tok today was realli gd.. basicalli was a aftersales support kind of thing, teaching their clients wat tools there are to aid their use of the software and wat tools are available to help them market the use of it.. all e-learning stuff basically, but i spoke to lotsa people and i feel veri adultish and got alot of namecards as well.. no wonder they call this networking.. but it was pretty cool.. spoke to the singapore reps from US, local support basicalli.. veri frenli.. we are their clients after all.. and felt happy that i could speak up in front of all these experienced pple despite being a newbie.. :) cos the day b4 dana (my superior) had just gone thru the whole program with me and Mira (my immediate superior) .. ahh.. feel veri happy..

went to watch cat in the hat.. mike myers was sooo funny.. !! haha.. he reminded me of austin powers though.. imagine austin powers in the cat suit.. muahaha.. hilarious.. the story isn't much but the acting was pretty gd.. and the sets veri cutesy pretty too.. :) had a veri sweet evening.. went shopping at Heeren after the movie.. but realised the cheque i banked in yesterday hasn't been reflected in my account yet.. damn.. had to resist all temptation to buy clothes.. :S hope tomolo will have the money liao..

had a great day at work! the US supervisor seemed pleased with my ideas.. and the fact that i grasped her idea so quickly :) anihow.. hope i can stay long at this job.. it realli does seem ideal so far.. the scope and everything i been doing.. and the view is spectacular.. !! i can see all the way to national stadium.. and the other side i can overlook the entire singapore river.. breathtaking.. shall bring my digicam and take pict tomolo. i can't stop looking at the scenery to work haha..

tuition this morning .. could barely get up.. but the mom was nice enuff to say she'll pay me weekly.. woohoo! my tranport fees are accounted for liao..

then met jack and his fren for lunch at kuishinbo.. was supposed to meet jack at JP after tuition.. but my cuckoo tuition kid give me wrong info and i took the bus at the wrong side and ended up at west coast. so cuckoo!! ... in the end was late by half hour.. and when we reached suntec it was already 2.. the buffet ending at 3!! argh.. but we found out it was ok to eat until we finish wat we ordered so we decided to hiong all our powers at 2.55pm haha.. we ordered so much food until we almost dieded.. in the end oni jack couldn't finish his food cos he was too greedy hehe.. we were last to leave the restaurant even.. at nearly 4.. HP was having some promotion downstairs to show off their photo printers and we 3 took a photo to print free of charge.. forgot to get a digital copy of it though.. damn..

after that was so full that although was supposed to have dinner with family, i didn't eat a single thing at dinner.. too full. and veri sleepy oso.. its been a gd day.. :)

yay!!! last day of work@!!! so many new temp staff came today that i felt pretty redundant.. it was a great feeling to be able to slack though haha.. finalli bought some souvenirs from the LOTR merchandise area.. staff have 10% discount!! argh.. too late though.. bought an Aragorn sword pendant, think i'm going to buy the Legolas leaf crest as well.. its realli veri cool.. gd to wear as a choker.. looks abit like a dog tag though.. ;p

received the email to register for commencement 2004! woohoo! wanted to borrow the gown from andy but heard from YY that they changed the design so have no choice but to buy a new set.. finalli i can formalli graduate and receive my cert.. and be able to meet all my frens again .. :)

had a realli weird dream last nite.. dreamt i met the sixoneders.. even the ones in US. was veri surprised but veri happy to see them. but dunno how come in the end it became a nitemare.. became a confrontation instead, and things turned ugly.. woke up feeling veri sad.. quite troubled by it.. will pray for these guys far away when i go temple tomolo. dun think i can stand anithing happening to them.

have been keeping tabs on the dreamd8 blogs and i realise once again, its degenerated into a popularity contest. haiz. & it pisses me off to noe i can write/blog/look better than some of them yet i didn't get in cos of not-so-gd interview skills? or that i wasn't as controversial as xiaxue? dulanz. but heard from a fren in it that its become alot of backstabbing and rumour mongering by some who wanna go all out to win. i can't realli handle that so perhaps its all for the best i suppose.. aniway, some of the blogs are realli gd so do support them.. and some of these pple deserve the prize money as well, so do try to vote for Kirin or Zonda.. :P

heaps of things to do tomolo b4 i start work on Monday.. pretty excited.. must remember to buy strappy heels and a new pair of pants for work.. :) going to meet frens for buffet lunch and my mom wanna go temple to give thanks as well.. and there's just 3 more hours of work left! woohoo!

finalli i'm sane enuff to update.. yesterday there was a new guy (thank god!!) so i was supposed to train him in the video conversion and stuff.. he didn't learn veri fast.. cos mainly he wasn't veri confident.. but it helps to have an extra pair of hands ard... like he can concentrate on his station while i can do my side. i believe in the throwing a person in a river to force him to learn to swim method.. either u learn or u drown. a little cruel but u can't hold a person's hand forever.. called in sick today.. want to start studying properly for CFA and have abit of personal time as well.. sacrificing $60 for a bit of time is definitely worth it, dun need to spend on lunch money or bus fare oso man.. tiredz.. think i'll be sleeping a little more today..

terribly tired. boi boi treated me to dinner at ikea.. wat a great meal.. best meal i've had all week in fact.. thanks boi boi!

lack of sleep, slept too late last nite.. and overslept this morning.. couldn't care less, 2 more days to freedom!! WOOHOO!! .. so tired now i'll just go sleep.

i was going to say this morning that today must be the most boring day ever but i changed my mind. just got back from work in fact. damn tired. things got busy at noon after i slacked the whole morning. dunno how i did it, but made a big mess by mixing up 2 tapes and vcds. luckily, i mixed them up in a set so hopefulli they come back to change it. :( got scolded by this unreasonable guy as well. its not my fault if a PC chooses to break down and i have oni 2 to work with when there's like 10 in the queue to convert. and its not my fault if everyone b4 him has almost 15 min of tape. which incidentalli takes bout 30 min to convert. freak. luckily my boss was there and he knew that it wasn't my fault so he tried to pacify the customer abit.. the idiot customer still shouted at me in front of everyone. was veri tempted to just throw his tape in his face and his money back at him.

after that, i dunno wat the hell was wrong with pple, all came streaming out like 5 min b4 closing and expected me to convert their damn tapes in 5 min. HALLO!! wake up ur idea!! i also need to eat and go home leh.. tell them have to wait one hour they not happy. and worst thing was these late pple were the kiasu type who had >10 min in their tapes too. had like 6-7 tapes and was almost on the verge of tears. lucki some of the pple were more understanding and happy to see themselves on TV. and the dumb PC that could directly convert DVD was down so had to stay after to finish up a DVD for tomolo. did u noe that 22 min of VHS takes like 2 hours to convert to DVD using Pinnacle!?! bloody hell.. and it took up to bout 4GB of HDD to convert that damn thing.. lucki the person nv ask me on the spot do for him, will bloody hell kill him for holding up the PC.

luckily hawx called to see if i wanted dinner at 7plus.. :) thanks man.... at least had some proper food for the whole day. yes, i had no lunch break nor dinner break cos there was no one else to man the booth!! will sue science centre if they deduct ani time off my time for lunch/dinner.. no rest no nothing. luckily i saturday leaving liao.. damn shack..

today must be the busiest day at work. cos i oni had one PC to use.. and stupid pple had to come like oni at 5.30 and push all their tapes to me at one go and expect me to finish converting them b4 6pm.. hAllo!! if u record long clips, i can't help it if u choose to come out at the last min and have to wait! .. and the PC bloody hell coks up at the wrong period.. have to restart the comp each time i run NERO.. dumb software...

anihow.. i seemed to have mastered Pinnacle studio.. and benQ's stupid software.. their DVD-writer is sooooo slow.. almost killed myself waiting for the videos to finish burning while in a hurry..

sis came to eat lunch with me.. didn't have time to walk her into the exhibition though.. she wants the ring, i'll have to save up abit b4 i can buy it for her bday.. took a cab to work today.. wasted some money but at least i wasn't late.. sianz.. i betta get up earlier tomolo..

can't think much liao.. pretty brain dead.. i think i been toking in my sleep again.. my sis heard voices coming from my room at 4+am this morning.. argh.. classic sign of impending insanity.. :S

didn't do much at work today.. singlehandedly converted vhs to vcds and dvds.. pretty proud of myself although the place seemed realli weird without samuel's reassuring presence ard to bail me out should i encounter ani problems..

kirin came in the afternoon to seek my help on his comp's problem.. it couldn't log on to the net it seemed.. but strangely, all i did was uninstall his mcafee and install my norton, did a full system scan and it worked. it connected to the science centre's wireless LAN without me having changed ani settings, oni proxy stuff.. haha.. and his comp didn't have ani viruses apparently, after a full system scan.. must be my magical touch.. anihow.. its working fine now all thanks to me :)

suddenli realised this is gonna be wat it'll be like when i start working. no life, nothing interesting to blog bout everyday. argh.. today had a try at setting up one of those mini PCs.. the casing was pretty cool.. but it was totalli cramped inside.. no space to expand at all.. not a gd buy if u were one of those who keeps on upgrading the PC..

well.. at least i learnt quite a fair bit despite the long hours.. its realli the hands-on of these jobs that u learn alot despite the meagre pay.. learnt how to clamp my own LAN cables, set up alot of PCs., network blah blah.. our boss is realli nice.. keep giving us free stuff related to the exhibition and food oso.. :) haiz.. i feel pretty bad having to leave the rest when they're realli shorthanded.. but i hope they understand.. will miss these peeps.. :) esp sam who took quite gd care of me despite my jibes of him being old.. :P

ahh.. getting all sentimental.. feeling quite sianz.. realise i oni hang out with with a few pple nowadays.. was reading the new paper bout how pple find it hard to meet new frens/life partners once they're out of sch and i realised its true.. if i hadn't temped at so many diff places.. i wouldn't have known as many pple working at one perm stable job. and cos we're all menial labour, we empathise with one another and help everyone out.. no politics as compared to office job.. no real frenships in office jobs i feel, cos competition is there and no one realli trusts anione else too.. :( anihow.. i think the next off day i'm going to have is next sunday... argh.. going to work for 7 days straight through.. can't believe i have the discipline to go thru that..

worked til 10pm today. sucky equipment in science centre provided to us did not make our job easy. so tired now i'll just go and sleep..
