千八百四十三： Silver Week

Chalet last week at Aloha Changi organised by Jimmy, 2nd birthday cake coincidentally from the same store as the girls : rive gauche, the chocolate was delicious.

I'm back in Japan. Shinji, Marini & Qling sent me off on Sunday night at the airport, a little sad some people didn't bother to come say goodbye, I have no plans to go back to sg for now & it really felt more like the final farewell than in April except no crying.

I visited Ayaka's grave yesterday, was a little sad, didn't know what to do there except to clean up the grave as best as I could. Said hi to her from other friends in APOC, it still feels like she's just on a long holiday that's all. Some days, I see people who look like her when I go to the shops, and get a jolt until I take a closer look and realise it's not her, it can't be her. I was watching the hongkong drama 溏心風暴 / Heart of Greed from where I left off from Singapore last friday, & the episode where some one the girl had failed to tell him she had already forgiven him passed away in an accident & left her feeling very regretful; I totally understood and was crying along with her. You don't know when people you love will leave you, don't wait until it's too late to tell them how much you appreciate & love them or you will end up regretting it for the rest of your life when you lose the chance to let them know.

千八百四十二： Long week

Last week in sg for this trip.

Had a long 2 weeks because i'm single handedly doing everything. & meeting people for dinners & then going home to work some more because I didn't have enough time during work.

The bag is done. now working on a mouse.

Bintan last saturday with the JP team people, angsana spa again! :) seriously, I'm addicted to their spa services. KL is still the cheapest though. We stayed at Bintan Lagoon resort this time, got ourselves a villa with a pool, was really cheap at s$133 per person including ferry tickets, very much worth it :) a little too short, the trip was, but the weather was great at least..

My sis is back from London this week, quite happy but a little sad that we haven't been able to spend much time together except for the long beach dinner last friday. Hopefully I can make a trip to London soon :)

Have to plan winter break, & I hope next week I'll have a good rest from Silver week in japan.

千八百四十一： Birthdays

Very busy with conducting / organizing training sessions for the newbies last week and no time to do any leisure surfing at all.. Fell sick on Wednesday (again), felt really woozy and feverish & had to cancel a few appointments.

in the midst of crocheting a bag.. at the crocheting the strap of the bag now :) never thought i was able to do this actually, but it actually isn't that hard. and the colour of the yarn was "rainbow", so made it really nice for a bag.

Henry & Yaohui gave me the first birthday treat of the month, on 1st Sept, at Thai Express :)

Yesterday the girls surprised me with a cake at Marini's place when we had a lunch gathering..

千八百四十： 大难不死，必有后福

Long week of many many meetings, & of an accidental bad fall last week leading to a very bad bump on the head, and hurt my neck & back as well. Went to the A&E, did an xray, no cracks in the skull luckily and no CT scan since my memory seemed intact. it hurts like crazy when i lie down, or sneeze, which is not a very good sign. 大难不死，必有后福, at least some good things have happened this week which might lead to something bigger and I would have paid my dues for the past 3 years of hard work.

Learnt to crochet this week, hopefully can complete an animal by the weekend. :) by accident, the animal is turning out to be lifesize instead of small and cute. maybe can make a few by the time i leave. hahaha!

I can't really remember if there's anything else to mention for the week, probably not, maybe the hit on the head did affect me somewhat.

long time no blog.

Having alot of food the past 2 weeks, can feel my jeans becoming very tight :(

Had curry fish head for lunch today, one of the best I ever had, at Kinta Road, Soon Heng.


watched Up 3D last week, it was really funny! but not really like very 3D. had Thai express 3 times this month, don't think I had enough yet. had BBQ last night as well & another BBQ to come next week.

time to buy my air ticket back to Japan but I think i spent too much money this month already. :P

千八百三十八： Long Weekend

had a pretty good weekend after the awful week at work. - still trying to follow up on the forecast work :(

thursday - Chloe's XO fish head beehoon farewell dinner with ICAP team
Friday - Marche Dinner
Saturday - Sentosa in the late afternoon
Sunday - celebrated Baby Chloe's birthday with Dora & Marini & Shinji, watched fireworks in the evening.

This year's NDP was quite good surprisingly, although fireworks seemed to have been cut short in budget. The weekend was super humid & warm though, did anyone notice??

it's funny how people who seldom smile look so different when they really laugh :)

this morning an auntie jumped into the seat next to mine after the guy got up. We hadn't notice that he had actually got up to give up the seat to a pregnant lady, when the auntie sat down, the guy poked her and said the seat was for the pregnant lady... the embarrassed auntie moved away. I would have given my seat to the auntie if I had realised what was going on, but in such a case, does the auntie even need the seat? she certainly was agile enough to dive into the seat the moment it cleared. hmm.

Finally had a try of the Red Mango frozen yoghurt at Suntec. I like it better than Yami Yoghurt definitely, it's sweeter & fruits are fresh too :)

hehe. open secret by now.

was sick and not working from last wed - friday, first time I really took sick leave throughout my work life at MS. doctor said Upper Respiratory Tract infection & gastric flu, guess this was the side effect of taking tamiflu. felt nauseous & had a bad headache everytime I looked at the PC so of course I didn't try to work..

finally back to work this week, so much stuff I been not touching that I had to do the dreaded effort forecast. finally it's done!!! but it really was a mess b4 i took charge of it, and you know if you take someone else' messy spreadsheet, you totally don't even feel like touching it. so was like half complaining about doing & really dreading opening this excel sheet everyday, finally just spent whole afternoon cleaning it up & thinking thru it doing it my way today, n boss took it as what he wanted. phew. actually ecstatic that this hated task has been completed, but too tired now to show much happiness :)

ok really sleepy now, tomorrow onwards many afterwork activities ahead :)

Have been very slack on myself for the past year. Some things that should get done..

1. to start french lessons again for the autumn session (begins October I think) and carry on at least until I get a cert.
2. should i retake JLPT1 again... ? the form alone costs 500 yen & registration is 5500yen. Actually I should, since chance of losing my job this year is super high :( but registration period I won't be in JP... how huh....
3. try to find a job in JP soon.

very stressed with the prospect of having no job by end of the year. should I even begin to consider having kids? :(

Feeling drowsy & drugged up still, unable to wake up this morning despite sleeping > 25 hours in total the whole of sunday and tummy feels very weird, like I'm in a constant state of gastritis & nausea. Does the drug do that to you?

I've been down with flu since last monday evening, the doctor said since I wasn't a high risk person i.e. pregnant or with other diseases, she won't be checking if I was H1N1. fever went up to 37.9 at one point, but didn't feel any cough or sore throat.

eating Tamiflu, & runny nose tablets daily & finally fever went down mostly after 4 days, but now i'm wondering if i should continue to eat panadol with a fever of 37.1 degrees? Feeling kinda drugged up these few days with all the medicine, head hurts & weird dreams as well. I been waking up at 4.01am nightly for no reason in between dreams.

boss keeps asking me for ideas on how to train new people. with my groggy state of mind, it's hard to be trying to recover whilst to think up stuff to train people. (being lowest paid in the ranks doesn't really help..) perhaps he should let me recover first .... :(

Will be taking a holiday for the next week.

yesterday, ugly side showed again.

(sorry xinhuan, i know you said don't blog unhappy stuff cos that will just imprint it forever in your memories but I really need to complain)

It was 1 am.
there was still laundry hanging out at the balcony.
As I was trying to pack still & he had finished & was surfing on the iphone, I asked him to get it. he said no, he wants to sleep le, even though we were not going to be in the house at least for the next week, he was going to just leave the clothes outside (mainly his underwear i would like to add). Which showed :
1. he didnt appreciate the effort of the laundry I had tried to clear in a hurry & took the time to hang up to dry such that if it rains or wat he don't care anyway.

I knew it was definitely going to rain so I decided to go take the clothes in myself at 1.30am. Took them in, maybe 4 pieces were his underwear. I asked him to just fold them and keep. he took them, and just threw them in the underwear drawer AFTER HE MaDE A BIG FUSS ABOUT HOW I DIDN'T FOLD HIS UNDERWEAR CORRECTLY THE PREVIOUS TIME. I asked him why he did that (the not folding) he said, cos I want to sleep already. I got super furious. SO WHY DID he make the big fuss about folding his clothes THE CORRECT WAY when I already made the effort to fold nicely even??! F#$%^&* so meaning the next time i can just dump his clothes in his drawer since he doesn't mind unfolded underwear? he mumbled in a self righteous tone, depends on situation... which showed again how selfish he was, he didnt care how late i needed to stay up clearing these things so that he can sleep earlier, instead of staying up a little to help clear housework so that we both can sleep earlier. After saying that, he went back to playing with his phone. for > 10 min which probably wouldn't take that long to fold his underwear. I was super buay song by then and just sarcastically said, " I thought you wanted to sleep?!" He pretended not to hear me.

Just glad no more housework for the next week. I hope sincerely that he is afraid that I will not be returning from singapore the next time i returns to SG. it sounds like a threat but believe me, if you are the one living with him, you would definitely want to do the same.

千八百三十一： kids

At his friend's place, their concern was are we going to have kids soon?

I say not yet and they were like "oh but he going to be 40 soon" etc.

I know. So?

I can't feel that he is going to be a good father, I can't feel him being committed to having a family. I can't contact him when I need to, too often, if we have kids, anything happens, he doesn't answer his phone, who do I turn to? MIL/FIL are too old. He doesn't treat me, his "family", with very much importance for me to even consider having kids for him. I'm just someone who does the housework and makes breakfast for him daily, keeping house for him? I don't really feel that he is keen to come home earlier daily, a simple call to let me know he is having dinner outside he isn't able to do & i end up trying to call him the whole night to a busy tone. he doesn't console me when I'm sad, when I voice up issues he just treats it like I'm being quarrelsome and he keeps quiet until I get too exasperated and sleeps.

It's only been 2 months plus living together, & I'm really really sick of his behaviour & attitude. I definitely love him less than before, there's nothing about marriage being for the long run if it's all 1-sided trying to make it work. If he really wants to try my patience there isn't much of it left. When I'm back in sg i'll definitely not want to be back as long as I can. He can have watever life he wants.

千八百三十： Electronics Shopping

Last week was swamped with work again.. Due to people who can't seem to get the requirements & coding right, we have to keep going back and forth arguing what's right and asking the person to change this and that. the right thing gets changed, the wrong thing also gets changed, it's so exasperating!! mentally super tired out by the weekend. rarely that I don't even want to touch Outlook over the weekend, but that happened this week.

Did a ton of electronics shopping over the weekend, because it was bonus time for Japanese pple & besides bonus sales, there was summer sales springing up all over the place. Bought a 42 inch Regza, microwave oven, and toaster, kitchen rack, & some beauty related stuff. bought a fan last week finally as well but then immediately it started to rain everyday after that and the weather got cooler ..... -.- will get the tv tmr! quite excited, finally can set up the Wii & everything.

finally rushed out the scrapbook today, but abit sad the 2nd book of dinner pics was totally just pics and no scrapbooking.. no time :(

千八百二十八： Baseball!

I went to a baseball match with Ryo today, Hanshin Tigers vs Yokohama Bay Stars!

Great weather, breezy but sunny. we had great seats, just behind the Tiger's bench area, and nearly ground level. :D

The match was a little depressing, with the star player playing badly, and the Bay Stars leading all the way at 2-0 until the last inning.

Many fans left after the 7th inning, I guess it was hard to think the tigers would win, even though 2 points was not that hard to catch up .. we stayed till the end, hoping against hope that some miracle would happen, and the star player got replaced when it was his turn to bat again. hehe. some angry old man behind me was shouting at him when he made the same simple error twice when it was his turn before & got striked out. but very exciting the last inning, very high tension in the air since no one expected the tigers to win. When they got their first point we were jumping around in the air, then 2 more players finally made hits & got to the bases, then 1 more out, and the last batter hit the ball to the far end and the catcher missed it, allowing 2 runners to hit home & the game was set!

Last week, swamped with work, had no time to do anything. still busy with the scrap book. about 60% of the first book. now I'm thinking how i can finish the 2nd book by next sunday :(

got the Iphone 3GS! went to repair the sg Iphone, they couldn't check the hardware, and the fact was that it really couldn't detect any wifi anywhere, they couldn't do anything. In the end, just upgraded my jp phone anyway, since the 3Gs went on sale on Friday. realised the Video functionality is just multiple shots of photos. oh well, no hurry to exchange the sg phone, since the warranty is until September.

Ryo made an attempt to unpack his boxes & now the bookshelves are up. We bought more shelves yesterday for the bedroom, so I could put in my bears and stuff as well, & I finally managed to get rid of some cardboard boxes as well too & the bedroom is looking much better now :) Hope things go better from now on.

went to watch Rookies on Saturday as Ryo had free tickets. But Ryo woke up too late.. then we could only watch the 6pm show and walk around Yodobashi for a while before going home. W/o buying any fan/oven etc again. :S

managed to get tape for my scrap book at only 40yen due to the 500 yen discount from the point card :D

Yesterday did ironing. not feeling happy at all.

千八百二十六： Burning out..

Haven't been blogging cos was busy with work & the wedding scrapbook.

making a scrapbook is pretty tedious. & I realised that without planning, the house could turn into a war zone with photos strewn all over the place and the tools, pencils, markers, paper, embossing powders, stamps.

Sick of work. very sick.

and the house is in such a mess because the husband don't bother to help clear up. even if he sees a mess.

& MIL & SIL (sister in law) is treating me like an IT helpdesk. MIL called me on the way out to dinner yesterday to ask me where is the underscore key on the keyboard. I told her I was outside and can't remember exactly. She refused to hang up. I had no choice but to walk around to see if there was any keyboard, and entered the place where they sold monthly train passes, walk very near to the counter to just steal a long glance & find the underscore key. (the staff looked at me weirdly of course). SIL called me during dinner to asked for help on blocking an adult site pop up that kept popping up. I tried to explain where the pop up blocker option was in IE, but she couldn't even understand where Internet options etc were.. so I said I'll check when I get home. :( I don't mind helping but I wished they would understand when I said I would check later and not expect immediate answers when I was outside. you could perhaps call your son if you expect immediate answers? Does my job means its less impt so that u can call on me any time to answer your questions immediately while you don't dare to call your son cos his work is more impt? I'm sure he can tell you where the underscore key is on the keyboard as much as anyone can, no need IT skill.

Dinner with Maya & Abe-san & Inoue san & Ryo at Maimon Oyster Bar & Charcoal Grill. Superb .. love to eat oysters :D think i ate 10. they drank like moet chandon champagne, piper champagne, redwine etc. quite abit.

千八百二十五： Sports Day

Went to see Ryo's nephew's sports day on Saturday.

Quite interesting, all the students were split into red team vs white team and all their victories were to chalk up overall points for their team. They had some games like tug the pole (as in the pic) but I was wondering it was really a feat for primary school kids to drag the pole back to their line.

The sports day was supposed to have begun at 9am, but. Ryo hadn't told me about it, and his sister in law only called me at nearly 2pm. when i reached there, MIL was really surprised to see me & I think she was quite embarrassed that she didn't remember to call me to go. She mumbled something about, oops, didn't know you were going to be here, there's no more bento for you, some embarrassed excuse & I just couldn't be bothered. When you need help, u just invite yourself to my place, when you have family events you forget about me, oh well, what more can i say.. Apparently my attire of tank top & shorts drew attention as well, since all the japanese parents were dressed such that no amount of UV could get to them (caps, jeans, long sleeves, umbrellas etc). I was already feeling so warm in my attire, I don't know how they can stand the heat.

After the event, went to Ryo's brother's place to have whatever's left of the bento food, & stayed to chat with them and they treated me to 焼肉 dinner :D .

Spent sunday sleeping until like 4pm (omg!!) then had to wake up to start on the wedding photos scrap book.. have no energy / drive to do anything about it still; could barely wake up this morning.
