hmm.. it was a tricky bit when hazel asked where i was going to stay during orientation.. i didn't noe whether i should just say or not.. dun want to cause unwanted gossip for the person i staying with leh.. well.. heck lah.. i have place to stay can liao.. just staying mum would be a good tactic..

borrowed art history books from the central library today for my GEM module.. they look so interesting!! the analyses, the pictures, the descriptions.. breathtaking!! haha.. i sound like an art freak.. i'm interested in art esp, cos i've been learning for over 10 years but stopped in sec 2 cos school work got too heavy.. but the interest always been there.. been reading up on design courses as well.. think NAFA is a gd deal, oni $15K for the degree (is it per year??) but nothing realli to do with pdt/industrial design.. NUS is realli ex.. $21K per yr for 4 years.. i was thinking if i went to a poly for a diploma b4 coming back to NUS, i would save a year's fees prolly.. and a diploma would at least be industry ready. hmm.. ani advice on this matter anione?

or perhaps i should go for a finance degree in SIM? biz and finances has always been another area of interest as well.. and i think i can do well there too..

hee.. nice lunch today.. went to take a look at the NCS rec room and cafeteria and library.. not a bad place.. but everyone seemed surprised to see a girl in t-shirt and short skirt in the building.. haha..

found a ton of books in woodlands library that would be useful to my TR module.. but the art books for the GEM module realli hard to find... think maybe tomolo will go to the sch library..

the weather was terrible today.. sweltering hot.. came home at 6 plus feeling super drained and tired.. took a nap until 8.30pm.. bad dreams plaguing throughout though..

borrowed a book of pooh quotations.. found this one particularly sweet:

woke up earlier today to prepare lunch for andy.. going to meet him at his workplace.. heard him so stressed out and tired and moody last nite about his work and felt veri bad for him.. so decided to cook him a nice lunch and eat with him.. n it was pretty gratifying to hear that he immediately cheered up with a happier tone of voice.. :) i'm realli a veri sweet girl u noe... :P

today being make-everyone-happy day, agreed to accompany my sis to the library to research for her project on world war 2. it's great to see her taking an interest in her projects and so interested in something academic for a change.. quite afraid she won't get into a top jc or anithing... not that i have anithing against the other jcs, but of course as an alumnus, i would say that hwachong is the best!!! hahaha.. best years of my sch life were when i was there and nothing can change that.. my jc class is still super united.. meeting up every 1-2 weeks.. wif loads to tok about each time.. so happy everytime i see them!! :)

after all, we've (me and my sisters) all managed to go to the same schs so far, despite being different in our interests and strengths.. hopefulli, the tradition will stay unbroken? its oni cos we're from the same schs that we can discuss teachers and all.. and i give advice to them regarding exams and teachers etc.. well.. i must say our route of education is pretty gd.. first a gd english education in a CHIJ all-girls primary sch.. with no bad influences of bad little boys.. and then onwards to Nanyang with its strict values and discipline and emphasis on being an all-rounder, once again w/o the bad influences of naughty boys.. n then finalli to hwachong where we blossom into great pple: non-pretentious and non-whiny.. a common trait in me and my sisters.. besides being realli cute.. so endearing to all our frens... *pukes* hahahaha..

hopefully this will be a good day today! :)

went to the matric fair today (as a freshman once again) haha.. my forever young face is definitely an advantage in this area.. signed up for a few clubs, but think the oni one i'll join is the Art Verve thing.. so cool.. they draw, paint.. everything.. will be a gd chance to build up my portfolio as well.. finalli a chance to draw again.. !! so excited!! :)

hmm.. so many things changed in this hols.. jm got attached.. congrats there.. but a little sad too.. :P one more eligible bachelor down... the boys started uni liao.. thats when we'll prolly grow apart.. some going overseas.. haizz.. feel sad just to think about all these.. hopefulli the class remains as united.. its rare that we can all be so close still after 2 years of army..

took the mrt alone yesterday from clementi to bedok.. realised that i hate travelling alone becos i'll feel like everyone's staring at me.. there's no one to share things i see and there's always the fear of getting molested during peak hours.. haha.. unlikely, but still a possibility with so many perverts running around.. also.. without anione toking to u on the mrt, ur mind tends to run around randomly, and its easier to think of sad things than happy.. well...

went for the can.com.sg interview today.. keeping my fingers crossed there.. although feeling pretty optimistic so far..

then went taka with xq.. turns out we both had no money to shop, so we went ard trying clothes instead.. :P zara has a new season of clothing.. veri nice british jackets, the kind with lots of buttons down the front.. tried alot of them on.. they look super good on me! serious!! haizz.. but a pity the weather here doesn't permit the style.. else would definitely buy it.. but prices oso pretty steep.. so.. prolly kiv first..

went back hall for dinner and orientation briefing.. felt pretty out of place, esp since i had no place to leave my stuff.. so just sat down and listened to the tok in non-casual attire and took notes with my palm.. abit silly.. must say rag this year seems to be pretty weird.. the theme's weird.. hopefulli the mechanism will wow the judges.. since they can't see the effort in making the scales and such.. jiayou pple! moral support is all i can provide..

still thinking how to go back for orientation without missing tuition.. verdict: impossible. i have to either go for one or the other.. argh.. if i miss the ice breakers, then i might as well not go back lor.. hmm... and still have to figure out the accomodation problem.. today boi boi was kind enuff to walk me out all the way to the interchange.. but not all week rite? hmm.. dilemma.. in the end oso miss the last bus.. and they were setting up the prayer stuff for the seventh month liao.. so was pretty eerie if i was there alone.. arghh..

realised i have some serious communication problems with mom. can't even speak a few words with her without it ending in a shouting match. wat's wrong!!? i think she's too critical and sarcastic and overly sensitive to every slight remark.. besides being paranoid n holds ultra conservative moral values, she gets mood swings realli quickly and suddenli.. well.. prolly menopause like i said, but at least try to curb it mah.. u can't always take out ur bad moods on others!! its like, she comes home from work in a stony face, always in a frown, and manages to put down any happy conversation that arises. bleah.. no wonder she's aging realli quickly.. i'm pretty ditzy, always smiling for nothing.. haha.. so prolly thats y i still look like 18 at 20.. hee... :P

just came from the commencement dinner. and my feet are dead.. wore the 4-inch heels i bought with my black dress and i nearli dieded. realli admire the women who can wear these heels and walk ard all day.. indoors is bad enuff, and outdoors is hell. can't walk properly, can't balance, and when i finalli get a chance to stand still, my feet are shaking so badly i just want to sit down..

the dinner was boring, food only normal, nothing special.. oni highlights were the tiger beer girls.. one of them was pretty, but a little too old.. heh.. felt abit out of place there.. cos i seemed to be overdressed.. :P but at least i look nice.. didn't win anithing at the lucky draw..

did nothing much the whole day, except piah abit of maths for tomolo's training.. arghh.. still on them.. who would know that pr 6 maths is so tedious?! ...

made some new frens, mainli juniors who are coming into hall next sem.. all frenli pple.. :) the place is quite nice.. the cathedral especialli.. veri spacious and conducive place to chat with frens.. the live band is not bad too.. although it's a mystery whether the lead female singer is actualli female.. hehe.. but the bar girls were realli hot.. in tight short skirts and skimpy tops.. *wolf-whistles* hehe.. didn't dance at all though.. was carrying a stupid bag.. haizz.. but erm.. the place has too many guys.. and mostly caucasians.. so not that happening..

bought a second-hand playstation for $60.. not a bad buy, since games included and 2 controllers + memory card. the bad thing is, the guy forgot to pass me the adapter to connect to the TV!! haizz so cannot play oso..

went to andy's commencement ceremony this morning.. was not supposed to go in at first since i had no invites, but supposedly they had some seats left. by the time i reached there though, there wasn't any, and i had to wait and luckily, when they finalli allowed me in, andy was like in line to go on stage liao. the ceremony was veri short.. due to the sars arrangement i supposed, but the valedictorian was a poly guy, quite expected (hooray for locals!!) and he has a CAP of like 4.95.. *shocked* yah.. some sort of genius. he let himself slip an A- into his grades which resulted in the not-so-perfect CAP.. hehe.. can imagine him crying when he got that A-.. hahahaha.. wondering if they give out some award for being like a student without any As? heheh..

arghh.. just checked my bank acc, i oni have $4.51 left!!!! how did this happen?! totalli pissed at myself for having not noticed the money slipping away.. guess no savings this month again.. haizz.... and to think 2 days ago i was still thinking i saved alot this month... drats!!!

crap.. all appeals rejected.. even the one about the stupid points. will write to the papers and complain bout the sch. wat stupidity, wastage and inefficiency. the soc system was so gd b4 this damn system foul up my life. damn NUS!!!

dammit~! appeal unsuccessful!! how can they stop me from taking more modules?!! fuck NUS. all the engin students will have a problem as well liao. sickening admin. i'm going to make noise if they dun allow me to take 24 MC. they shouldn't be catering for the avg student of 20MC but cater the allowance for pple who needs to clear more. 24MC is not tough!~!! fuck NUS !!!
